I thought I was the only one who used cad programs for menial task stuff. I have all my tool boxes and floor stand type tools in cad and lay them out in advance before I move into a new garage so I know they will fit/work.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
More pretend progress... I have been pretty busy with some prolite stuff but have been sneaking some bronco time here and there. This is my layout for the rear. The rolled sheetmetal piece over the tire will be dimple died, and the rear bumper will have brake/dust lights in it. I hope to sneak to the shop this sunday and actually get a couple hours of work done.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Thanks! I am continually tweaking it. I just built some transfer case cross members the needed about .375 trimmed to fit in the frame rail so it was back to the model to tweak it. The good thing is they were both off consistant. I have to verify frame thickness and take some actual measurements off the truck. Like I mentioned, right now I am modeling of an emailed scan of a 26 year old Ford Print!

C'mon Eric, we're rooting for ya! You have another C-3 build on your tail, that of Chris Wilson, and it looks like he's got some momentum building up.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
All right, I have the bronco out of my garage and back to the shop to start taking the old motor out. I ordered a new carb from C and J (Thanks Dave and Moss) and it should be done in about 2 weeks. I also ordered all the raw material to fab up headers, and took some material out of the firewall to clear exhaust/tires at full bump.
I can't wait to get the new motor on the dyno!

Oh man does that motor look good! The only thing, your not going to use the fram filter are you? I've had issues on my stock roller motor with them. Wix makes a better one (baldwin) but you probably know that. They're cheaper too. At least in California they are.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

You realize that is a Jeep right Steve? All the Jeep crap you talk and you like it over a Bronco? I'll give it to you....a cut rear ZJ Grand Cherokee is pretty cool but its still solid axle and unibody.ChaseTruck754 wrote:Screw the boring bronco - that little maroon 4 door looks RAD!

I use the cheap Frams for priming the motor and that's it.

No I didn't. I thought it was some sort of Samuri thing. Just shows how much I pay attention to HEEPs. I formally withdraw my previous statement...
Still that thing looks pretty cool and of course I was just messing with him (and you all) by diss-ing the bronco.

The ZJ is pretty cool lookin', in all of its unibody glory.
Yah know what the say about ZJ's, if you dont know what they are, your probably cant afford one.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Thanks for the heads up on the filter! The heep is my business partners. Neither of us are big Jeep guys, but it was 300 bucks and for under a grand it gets him and his boys out on the trail! It just needed to get cut up a little! The roof rack is actually the cage halo, so there is a lot of interior room. It gets the looks.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
Little more progress on the crossmember/trans mount while I wait for my carb to get here! I have the mounts on the chassis and the bushings, I just need to put it all together and bolt it to the truck. I need to shorted the bolt slugs a little too, they're about 2" too long in this pic.

Man this build is Top Notch. Well if you put a third seat in that thing it would be easy to sell off the seat time to some orange county kid. Would cover that gas from MN.

Re: Nothing special class3 pics
No just spoke out of experiance sold a seat off for a buddy of mine a few times in his race truck just so happend that each time it was a younger guy and from OC. I lived in Laguna for some time and lived in IE for a long time not being an ass just saying I think most of us know at least one Kid (younger adult) that has more money then most and is from OC. I dont really see how you can assume i meant IE kids rather do meth, Kinda far fetched ya think.ChaseTruck754 wrote:Some Orange County kid? Again my comment was not made to offend and especially not make drug related IE assumptions.
