I hope so, thats been the plan the last 2 years, no sense in changing it now! Haha!

I am not sure on the swap meet. I would like to, but we recently sold our hauler and have yet to get a replacement for it.

Well...got to the shop last weekend and made a bit more progress!

I got the perches for my springs welded on the rear axle, and burned my snouts in as well. All the welding is done, now I just need to finish my 3rd member and mount the brakes.

I got my oil cooler mounted up and got the fittings in it and ready for plumbing.

I built the shroud for my tranny cooler and got the Spal fan mounted up.

I also got my fuel cell strapped in and got my battery mounts done.

Lastly, in the name of little victories, I got the new Warn hubs installed! But you know what they look like and it appears I am at my limit for attachments.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I think it will be under it's own power every year for the Baja 1000 for the last 2 years...

I am hoping by the end of this weekend I can have most of the plumbing done. From there it will need to be wired. It won't take much to fire it, but wiring the truck will be fairly time consuming. I won't say "running" but I would hope to be able to drive it on to a trailer by memorial weekend. I have a lot going on right now so it has been really hard to find time to work on it.

I got to the shop over the weekend and made a little more progress. I didn't get as far on plumbing as I hoped, but everything is just about mounted where it belongs with fittings installed, so I should be able to run hose fairly soon. I may have to buy a few more fittings as a few items changed loacation on me. I worked on getting the accesories on the front of the motor. I am running a 135 amp 3G alternator out of a Taurus. The mount is pretty simple and has alot of adjustment.

I also got the Power steering mounts mostly done. I like the housing and the design, but I am going to tweak/move the pivot point and remake the braket so I can get a little bit more tensioning out of it. I may try and dimple die it too, haven't decided yet!

From there I moved on to the center console. I am using black painted aluminum, and laser etching in my switch names. I locate all my circuit breakers right next to the switch rather than have a seperate circuit breaker panel. Thats why there are two holes under each label.

When wiring I always want my dust light to default on if the truck is running. So what I did is use and on/off sitch for the ignition, then I have a seperate switch that is off/one/momentary. The plan is to turn ignition on, then use the 3 way switch to start the truck with the momentary position. That switch will then default to dust light on. If I am driving the truck on the street I can then shut the dust light off. This way though, any time I start the truck the dust light is automatically on.

I wouldn't mind seeing the pics larger. Don't put too much effort into it if it's a pain because it's not needed, but purely for my love of looking at fab in general.

I also whipped up a couple of cool little reservior tabs for my shocks. Here they are in the flat.

Then they get clamped in this tool with a regular bench vice, and the little tab gets hammered over to weld to the chassis. It is basically a little stand off so a hose clamp can go around the tab.

And here it is all done.

I have them for all my shock reserviors and my fuel filter.

I like this fixture. Are the bolts holding layers together to make it one thick piece? Looks like it works awesome.

Yep, it is three pieces of .188 thick. The tab is actually "positioned" into the tool so they always get bent straight...
