1994 F150 (The wife made me do it)

So much for being done for awhile. Picked this thing up last weekend. I have wanted to build a truck for quite some time now. This one kind of fell in my lap, so I went and picked her up.

1994 F150 4wd 5.8

Not really sure where I am headed with this build. But I hope in the end it will be badass and fly like my bronco did.

I am tossing around the idea of building it with leaf springs. (never had a leaf setup) Who knows. I am open for ideas on what direction I should go. Stock width or extended, glass or no glass. Sleeper style or in your face style. Well here are a few pictures.

Thanks guys. I was kind of looking around a bit, but couldn't find anything that was worth buying until this popped up. That's when the Wife forced me to go get it. haha. She's awesome.

All I know right now is it will have coilovers up front. Other than that I can't make up my mind.

What a great truck to start with. I've always loved this body style, especially in white. You don't even need to change the wheels. Congrats.

Mild or wild, these trucks are bad ass. Simple coil over front with leafs, mild Autofab glass with 35's and you could still drive it everyday. You would still have a capable truck in the dirt while keeping a clean, low profile on the street.
They do look sexy though when they get wide, though. Look up any of the SI/Plank/Newline trucks for inspiration. Those are some of my favorites.

Haha, she is actually trying to sway me in career choice. The more I am in the desert or building something the more likely I am to choose a certain path.

I need leaf spring recommendations. I have no experience with them. I have a habit of just linking everything. but if I link this one I know it will snowball.

Sure but you won't find anything! The 64" leaf pack would be a great setup I'd think. Axle over so less issues with wrap, you can notch the frame for a bit more travel and itll sit lower for starters.

I'd be tempted to say let it snowball too as I'd love to see what you'd do. I'll agree with squirelly though - these things looks sweet in any stage of build from mild to wild! They can function very well with minimal fab, or they can downright drool worthy if done SI/Newline style!

F49 I believe will be good, it's a 2.5 wide though but they seem to work well on the newer 150's.

I'm pretty sure there's a rule that go-fast extended cab F150's have to be big, bad, wide and shortened wheelbase, so you're screwed!

I have the axel you need, 40 spline spooled 9 inch 93" wide tire to tire

That's going to be awesome Pat. I say go 4" beams and rear end. Budget 40 spline floater rear. 17" wheels with big brakes. Stick with 35's unless your budget can handle custom fab'd knuckles. 64" leaf pack to get 22" of travel. 3.0-3.5 bypasses rear. 3" coilover front. Mild 3" glass. Full cage. Stock interior with 3g's. Smart shopping at LeDuc's.

I second that yikes. The only thing I would add is to shorten up the wheel base a bit. The 64s work awesome. Bolt on simple too.
