He sells under the Ebay name "vehicleharnessco", his name is Joe and his phone #s are 805 259 8887 or 541 330 8800. Joe will make a kit any way you want, just tell him what you are after, he can tailor it to suit your needs..... really nice guy to deal with.ChaseTruck754 wrote:Hey Rod - how much was that kit? Thursday 6th Sept update:
Was thinking I had better post a little progress
It took me an hour to find all my shit and get set up to do some wiring work. With all the work on the house lately, I kinda forget where I put stuff, and it took some swearing and cursing before I found what I wanted. Anyway, enough talking, a couple of pics from tonight, more on the weekend.
Shortened up the feul tank wires, soldered and shrink wrapped: Wrapped up in "convoluted conduit" as its called here: The other 2 pics are too blurry to see, so I'll take new ones tomorrow night. Should have the hi pressure pump mounted this weekend, along with the fuel filter and ready to start fuel plumbing. I need to lengthen some wires for the pump, and tidy up a couple of loose ends, then I can wrap the harness and P clip it up. Once thats done, I will finish my cab trolley and start Phase 2, the cab.

Not much to update lately, sorry. Been too busy with this stuff to do any work on the truck. Besides, getting this done means less BS from the Handbrake

Mas:
One could almost say the Handbrake is happy (for now). I have ordered fittings from an EFI supply company here for my fuel lines, the fittings allow me to use properly rated fuel hose instead of that plastic shit. I cant get it off the factory fittings without damaging them, so this way, I can plumb the lines where and how I want them.
$5.50 each, I got 8 5/16 push-on to 5/16 hose adaptors and 4 3/8 push-on to 5/16 hose adaptors, they should arrive later this week, and so should my roll of properly rated 200psi EFI hose too. Then the plumbing will begin in ernest, and the wiring will be finalised and finished. More soon
At least getting this stuff out of the way, my hearing has improved remarkably

Re: Rod's 84 BabyBajaF100
Saturday 9/15 update:
Sorry, guys, nothing to update yet, still hard at work trying to get house reno's finished when the wather allows. I get maybe 2 - 3 nights a week where the rain allows me to get a few more boards on the side of the house without getting wet. The guy who was getting me the EFI hose hasnt come thru yet, so I'm still waiting for the hose, and I havent had time to get out to the shed and get into the wiring either. To top it all off, my crate of parts is still at Valley Box in Santee, waiting for the LCL Shipping company to stop f***ing around with paperwork and pick up the crate so I can get it on the way. Everytime we get the paperwork the way they want it, they go and change the paperwork we need. For the past 6 weeks, its been just been going back and forth with this BS and nothing has moved yet. I'm still canvassing for trans parts to complete my parts list, and hopefully next weekend, I will finally get to working on the truck again, in between and motor C/O in Mick's Falcon. Once thats out of the way, I will finally tackle the cab and get it started. I'm hoping it will be finished for my 50th in December, and it looks like I'll need to take up a 2nd job to fill the financial defecit I have right now to speed things along a little. Anyway, tomorrow, I hope I have an hour or 2 to do some more work, mount the fuel pump and filter and sort out a little wiring. If that happens, I'll throw in some pics to please the monster, I know its getting awful hungry about now
Cheers.

Re: Rod's 84 BabyBajaF100
Monday update:
Nothing happened yesterday like I planned, so in the end I gave it a miss. Tonight, though, I made up for it. Stopped off at the auto parts store and bought a roll of EFI hose (got sick of waiting for the "cheap" deal) and the proper hose clips, then after chores, got stuck in. I made this little fuel filter holder at work in about 30 mins, mounting above the axle inside the frame: Plumbed in the the tank pump lines:

Mas:
Bigger picture: Most of it done, just a few more feet and I can say its ready for the cab: The pump wires need to be extended to the pump, some other stuff needs a little tidy up, and a couple of Deutsch connectors need to go on, and its going aside until after the moor swap in the Falcon, then the cab will get attacked. The days are getting longer again, and the weather, well, it IS Victoria after all, will hopefully settle down soon. One day the other stuff will arrive and I can start seeing some real progress.
AND, I broke 10,000 views today! Thanks everyone for your interest.
I'll be updating more often now, as more gets done and it gets closer to finished.
Cheers.
