73 f100 to TTB f2500

Plumbed the fuel and brakes. Got one of those aftermarket 38 gallon tanks for a 90s truck, fits no modifications.



Bought a used pump and extended the hanger for a new walbro. Used some welding wire to extend the sending unit.


Battery had to move to the driver side so I made a box.

been busy the last few months, kind of forgot about this thread. Installed a vintage air and plumbed it out. Was able to use the stock lines and compressor that came with the compressor. Just some cutting and welding.







picked up a pretty clean bed, hood and fenders from a friend.

I decided to go with a dakota digital cluster vs autometer gauges. Don't like the stock plastic bezel so I drew one up and made a billet one.

The only thing I'm hating on is that air filter.........

Maybe the rear shock mounts too. Single shear? Really? But it's nice that you got them outside the frame.

Yeah the air filter is a cheap ebay chinese intake. Originally wanted to fit a stock or make an intake box. I got it mainly for the intake tube and rubber fittings, the whole kit was less than 40 bucks. Going to powder coat the tube black and get a k&n cone when I'm done.
I went single shear because its going to be a street truck. I have an idea for a double shear mount, just don't think its needed.

After pulling dents and welding holes up sent the bed, fenders and hood out to get blasted and epoxy primed. Made up a small booth and sprayed the under sides white and the bottom of the bed and fenders with raptor coat.







Opinions of the mirrors?

Those mirrors aren't bad. Personally I like the dodge ones a bit better. They flip up/out for towing & look more low profile when you are not towing. Those are what I want to do on the crew.

How do you like the Raptor liner? How did it spray, etc?

Oh and did the blasting & who shot the epoxy primer? Been wanting to do the same on mine, but want to make sure I have everything drilled or old holes filled, etc. in it 1st obviously.

Media Resurfacing Systems near gothard and talbert. The guy next door does paint. They work together for stuff like this.

Raptor sprays easy. Comes as a kit with a gun.

I could always switch to the dodge ones it these don't work out. I put nut serts in the door and made mounting plates the mirrors mount to. The wind wings still open about half way.

I think the hinges on Chevy mirrors look silly, but otherwise not bad

I've been going back & forth between Al's liner & Raptor. Haven't really heard about anybody unsatisfied with either yet.

And cool idea for the mirror mounts. I was going to weld mounting plates to the doors and was hoping the wing windows might still function somewhat. You got a closer picture of your mirror setup?

I used Raptor liner in my truck and will recommend it to anyone. The tin table stuff works rad. Matches super close
