Yes, that shackle angle looks superb and it would be something to emulate. It looks like it would droop out some more before shackle inversion if the jack was removed. I would like to see the shackle angle at ride height and at bump too. From what I have seen the proper shackle angle and length provides at least 5" of travel, although this additional travel decreases spring rate (not necessarily a negative attribute). There is probably some shaft plunge to the setup, but not so bad with the front hanger so low. It looks like it is a good 5-6" under output flange. Those springs are awesome looking.

Yeah - I've noticed Geoff's (GIANT) front hanger sits a little (inch or 2 maybe) lower than where I set mine up at, and his rear hanger is a little forward - but then again he uses the shorter 6" shackle back there. Again I like how far forward his shackle comes at droop but I wouldn't mind seeing the shackle angle at ride height or bump on this either. I located my rear hanger based on shackle angle at ride height and bump more so than droop so I'd like to see how close I got to Geoffs setup.

The 64" setup on a short bed regular cab with an E4OD has less than an 1" of plunge through 18" of travel.

So, lot's to report. Went down and checked out the truck yesterday and it's coming right along. Mark's done an amazing job so far, as expected, and everything looks meticulously put together. After being on the fence for a while, I decided to do it right and cage it while she's getting a makeover. We replaced the ball joints and bushings, put new seals in the front and rear, upgraded to the Summit intake kit (identical to the K&N), removed the abs and speed sensor and he's putting in a trick little adjustable brake deal on there. Also decided to have Mark do all the wiring, build and mount the roof rack and awning, mount and load up the GPS and race radio, and basically have the thing rolling out completely done. Can't speak highly enough of the patience and detail Mark is putting into this project with me and the truck. I left the shop reallly excited yesterday.
Picking up some projects this week as well as the harnesses, and picked up a really cool storage dealio for the roof rack for my surfboards, wetsuits and dive gear. Here's some pics. Lots more to come.

So, is he finishing this in phases? Or is the cage going in in the next week or so. I know you mentioned you planned on taking her down to pre run.

Picked up a set of 6 GSA's this morning. 5 are nearly brand new. 6th is a tiny bit chewed up. Super stoked. All I need are harnesses and she's ready to go. Yeehaw.

Can't tell ya how stoked I am. She's coming together. Roof rack and cab cage and she's ready to go. She's no Baja 250, but I think she'll do the trick : )

Picked up the truck last night and drove straight to Ensenada from the shop. Didn't have time to get the cage in before the race, but Mark took care of all the detail oriented stuff and it turned out awesome. Woke up this am and preran the first 200 miles and had zero problems. Got the #$%* kicked out of us in the San Felipe sand whoops, but she's still trucking. The valving is pretty soft but I dig it. Handles the majority of the course very comfortably, but have to ease through the big whoops (I wasn't delusional and knew this would be the case). All in all, I'm ecstatic with how it turned out. Gotta learn how to use my damn GPS and find my list of race radio frequencies, but gonna stop by PCI at tech and try and get a crash course.
