My guess is Vanderwey 'Chevy' prerunner? Still a standard 44 Center section?

Seems like something like this would be good under a KOH car. D50 based long travel. The ttb can be very good in the desert and whoops and a D50 based ttb can use some very stout D60 parts. The d44 center section is actually pretty strong. I never broke one on my class 4.

We have a winner! You have correctly ID'ed the truck and it does have a standard 44 center.

Hope I'm not hijacking here; Can a d50 be built real stout for use w/ coils and 5x5.5 b.c.? Would i need custom knuckles? i'm still not clear on this, but there were some coil sprung 4x4 f250s w/ the d50, right?? There's a good deal on a d50 in my area and I'm seriously considering picking it up.

How much heavier are they? Ground clearance when cut&turned? How hard/expensive would it be to set up big brakes (like above...drooool) with the 5-lug pattern?

A D50 spindle is very close to a D60. I don't see why you couldn't adapt aftermarket D60 5x5.5 hubs to it.

Be aware that most of the D50 stuff is not much of an advantage over D44 or D44HD.

AFAIK All D44HD and D50 front suspensions have leaf springs.

Those 5x5.5 hubs are from DynaTrac.
