I'm running 2.5x12 Kings currently I have 350/400 springs.
It feels like the Indiana jones ride at Disneyland when driving. Very unstable and leans all over at slow speed. I'll have a winch up front which will make it worse. Also I have had to crank the ride height adjuster down to almost max
What are you guys running for top and bottom springs?
Pics so you can see how it's mounted

I running 350/450 and works really well. How far from ride hight are your coil slider stops?

I have adjuster almost touching the slider stop. Then backed off a little.
It's so soft it's like the monster trucks. Then I nail gas the front end lifts way up and when turning the truck dips in hard on one side and lifts up on other. No way I could drive it on freeway. Too unstable

Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the slider stops be closer to the slider at ride height? When that spring compresses, I don't think the slider will ever hit it because of the stacked height of the spring

It looks like you need to move your crossover rings WAY down. Your spring will bottom out before the slider even does anything.
I am currently running 450/500 and it's too rough. I really want to get 350 for the top and see how it does.

Yes about 1.5" off the slider at ride hieght. That's why your getting tons of body roll.

The alluminum collars on the c/o, there will be two, need to be 1.5" above the top of the coil slider (blue plastic thing separating coils) when the truck is sitting at ride height.
You combined rate is 186, soft, to plush up the small bumps. That's what gives you all the body roll. That's why you set you collars to engage the lower coil, 400, after you first several inches of travel to stiffen it up and stop the roll.
Hope that helps.

Hey Danny your springs are 350/450. Moving that the crossover down is a bad idea. More like a bandaid. That crossover should only be used to stop cool bind on the upper spring. You need to move up in springrates. Bump it up to a 400/500 and see how that is or maybe a 550 lower with the added weight of the winch.

I have 350/450 with just enough preload so the spring won't fall out. I had 400/500 with a lot of preload and it acted just like you explained. Leaned a ton, lifted high on acceleration. I think it's too much preload.

The front of mine I am running a 22" 400 with a 10" 200 on top. These are on a 14" 3.0 coil over and it is very stable. We chose to do the heavy base with tender to control the body roll. My bronco is linked and I do not want to run a sway bar. I do not have a bunch of miles on mine yet but driving around on the road and hitting a few big bumps at speed I am extremely happy so far. If you run Fox I can get you a copy of the sheet to plug the numbers into and then they will put in there spread sheet to calculate the proper forces throughout travel to get it the first time.

Here is a quick run down of combined rates from paired springs. I believe this will help many of the GFB guys. My Bronco was happy at the 143-146 mark as you see. Although I am 4.5" over width wise.

Any updates? I'm running a similar setup, standard width cut & turn with a winch and bumper. I'm interested what spring setup solved the problem.
