Anyone have any good or bad news on Mr. Gasket Eng Set

Post by ckymacias »

I'm going to pull my motor and do a rebuild. I already have the good Felpro oil pan seal, but I need the other gaskets to complete the rebuild and I found a killar deal on Amazon :)
Thanks B
PS I will have all my KOH pictures uploaded soon, just not sure which forum I should post them in? Any ideas?

Do yourself a favor and buy a gasket set from Ford rather than any other maker. Granted felpro makes most of the gaskets but they are made to a higher standard. Don't know what year truck you have but i would look for a 96 gasket set so that you get the new style pan and vavle cover gaskets. you will pay quite a bit but the quality is much better.

If I was going to re-seal or rebuild an engine I would use Fel-Pro. I prefer OE parts in a lot of areas, but for gaskets in a Bronco, I would not hesitate to use aftermarket.

I also see no reason to buy a gasket set from Mr. Gasket.

I just pulled the heads off the old engine that we won 30 some races with, and realized they were Mr Gasket head gaskets. It is hard to go wrong with Fel Pro though.

I probably should have noted that unless your specific build requires out of the ordinary gaskets, I would use a standard Fel-Pro set. It's what's on my truck and they are working fine.

Victor is good, too but Fel-Pro seems better in many cases.

Fel-pro for everything but exhaust. i only use remflex gaskets for exhaust, i hate exhaust leaks and hate working on exhaust systems
