Im looking for for a comfy suspension seat that reclines. After sliding around on the stock pleather seats in mexico im thinking its time to upgrade. Im leaning toward the Corbeau BajaRS-

What do you guys like that is DD friendly but provides enough support for Go-Fast duty?

To be honest man, the fixed back suspension seats are the best. I've gone through a few sets of seats and the suspension fixed backs are perfect. The reclinables tend to bounce your head around and aren't really aggressive enough to keep you in the seat. Thats just my .02 cents.

GOOD LAWD! They sure are proud of those! Im sure they are very nice though. I do like how the Corbeau's have the vinyl on the "love handle" and "butt cheek" areas for getting into and out of the truck though.

Randy i know what your saying about the fixed backs but i want to be able to get people and gear in and out of the back with ease.

WOWZERS SNAKE TROUSERS! Those are nice but man they are some coin! My problem was Carly is so little that even the black seats weren't aggressive enough to keep her in. It's not bad if you lay them out right. It does take some getting used to.

They sure are Ryan, but I had a set of Mastercrafts Baja RS in my cherokee and loved them. These are basically the same, but 1" wider each side.

Randy, you gotta remember I have "mothering hips" so a suspension seat a bit wider is nice, and those are tough to find used. So I figured spend 1000k on em, and get them color matched to the rear and everything and those should las 3-4 yrs easy.

Ill bet you could almost put Carly in a childs seat! That shouldnt be an issue with the girls i date though!

Randy, get Carly one of those racing kart seat inserts, it will snug her in better and stop her being beaten around. Plus they are cheap, compared to a smaller size seat, etc.

I'll look into thank you Rod. I felt so bad when we got back the second day. She had to hold herself in from flying into the windshield when things got really rough.

One suggestion your seating problem, you could make a seat insert for your other half so she wont get beat up. You would have to have a fixed back seat. Get the seats you want. Places such as Pegasus sell a two part foam that you mix together and then have her sit in the seat with it under her. It will react and form to the seat and her. Have it upholstered and you have a custom insert. Not cheap but makes the ride good for the other half and you don't have to have a small size seat for other passengers that may ride with you.https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produ ... oduct=4525

One of the old pre-runners that I used to ride around in had the Mastercraft recliners in it. Spent a lot of time in those and they were fairly comfortable. The best part is when the idiot driver broke the Bronco you could recline them and take a nap while waiting for your parts to show up.

assuming no seat belt bar for the harnesses!

The baja seats are the best on the market but I really like the stock seats...no issues on my end and I use just a 3" lap belt. If im driving fast enough that I need a better seat...im driving too fast to NOT be wearing a helmet.

That pretty much sums it up.

Except in poor Carly's case. That poor girl got tossed around like a salad.

The 3g seats in mine are sure comfy, but the back is all but useless for passengers, unless the top is off.

Good luck finding out what works well and still allows easy access to the back, my cage wouldn't let people in the back anyway, so no big loss to me.

The 3G is probably the best suspension race seat on the market. Mastercraft is the top of the game.

You need to talk to flyinbronco... Rick... he's running the BajaRS in his Bronco, has for the past few years... he can give you a good assessment on the MasterCrafts...

The real tough issue is how to anchor a good 2" or 3" 4-point or 5-point harness system while retaining access to the rear seat. That's going to be the real challenge and the true necessity in getting comfortable and safe seats in the Bronco.

I'm using the MasterCraft Sportsman seats in mine, custom built... wider and taller (mine) and I'm using 3" 5-point MasterCraft belts with integral pads in the shoulder harness. The provide great lateral support and the harnesses keep you in the seat... Best thing I've done. Jules is totally happy, she doesn't get tossed around any more and is comfortable. Makes the trips so much better and more fun!

Eyelets in the floor with a large washer if no seat cross tube in the cage. Shoulders to the cage draped over the seat shoulders. Sub strap same as waist.

I like the reclinable feature for the bronco for the fact they can flip forward and give access to back seats.

The recline angle back is limited by cage design.

I like the stock seats too for driving around town but im tired of sliding lateraly when im off road, i guess my ass is just too big to fit between the bolsters on the stock seat!! Im not caged yet but i want to build my center console soon and i need to buy the seats im going to have for a few years before i start the console project.
So Tom, im confused does Rick have the Corbeaus or Mastercrafts?? Or do both companies use "BajaRS" as their seats name?? Maybe this thread will catch Ricks eye and he can chime in.

Ryan, Rick has mastercrafts. I think both are called "baja rs"
