Heim joints for front end and front bypass question.
I seen the steering system for GFB's with heim joints and many without. Are they really worth it? And if so what is the common size of the ones used. My other question is in regards to the front bypass. I see many not using bypass and even read that for broncos is not very cost effective. If so why? Im planning to start stacking on parts and want my build done right the first time. I got nothing but time to do this right. Thanks
Re: Heim joints for front end and front bypass question.
I am new to my build, so take it for what its worth. I asked a lot of questions to do it right the first time. Bi pass up front ia am told is not necessary unless you want to race, or real bang it for long runs. My F150 had coilovers only up front and I had a blast with it... pre running and a couple small races.
I had considered swing steering at one time and Geoff at Giant motorsports talked me out of it. He said he had thousands of Mexico miles on his F150 and had never had a problem with his stock gear. My Bronco has all new stock steering componets, when the build is done I may start tinkering with swingers just to have something to do.
