Re: cutting and turning
those are really nice welds if they're from an arc welder.
ofcourse I'm going to video tape it when I jump it. i'll start with a small jump, like a few curbs
here is my jig to make sure I get it straight
i'll be plating/reinforcing it tomorrow

Re: cutting and turning
Who wants to place bets that his beams won't break? I've seen railroad spikes used to fix busted to sand rail frames hold together though hard weekends, even in the rough stuff. It doesn't have to be pretty to work, post the vid. extra plating over the unions isn't a bad idea btw. Remember to keep your welding rods dry. If the flux is crumbling off trash em and buy new rod.

I was serious about agreeing with Erik. Run that shit and have fun doing it. But, you MUST take video! I always say, if I'm gonna do something stupid, I might as well get it on video! No offense meant by this.

Re: cutting and turning
After the video debut here his survivors should really post it up on you tube, he could be the next Rebecca black. I believe they start sending you monthly checks after 300000 views. He might make enough $$ to buy new beams, you just never know.

Re: cutting and turning
finished welding, just need to install. couldn't find any center Dana 50 Ujoints at the jyard.
does anyone know the exact years the dana 50 TTB came on? F350s? I searched a lot of F-250s but they all had dana44hd
yes I clocked the differential.
I have no idea if I have the angle right, I'm hoping the 2 piece bushings will make up for the amount of error. but I have 4" rancho springs, and i'll swap to deavers in the future.

Re: cutting and turning
Those bushings are not gonna help you at all. They are stiffer and have less give/flex. You may want to try to find another set of beams and just move the ball joint, there's alot less to it.
