You should be able to cut off the bottom "ear" of the bracket and use the upper bolt location. Yikes cut his lift brackets to work with stock pivot location. Maybe he has some pics for you.

Ok not I-beam but are the factory ttb beam connection points GTG with my extended radius arms and cut and turn beams or should I plate or gusset them to add some more strength and rigidity while I have everything apart???

Hey Bob, I just bolted mine up. I've heard, if anything, drill out the ttb mount hole and weld washer it.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Re: I-beam Pivot Brakets
They'll last quite a long time as they are. I'm pretty sure the same bracket pictured lasted about 15 years on Ollie's old Bronco. I think it cracked around the frame mounting bolts and not the pivot hole. I'm lazy. I would just bolt it up, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to gusset the bracket and pivot hole.Bondobob wrote:Ok not I-beam but are the factory ttb beam connection points GTG with my extended radius arms and cut and turn beams or should I plate or gusset them to add some more strength and rigidity while I have everything apart???

Re: I-beam Pivot Brakets
Dale (bajanorth) cracked his after a couple of years. He added weld washers and a tube from the outer part of the bracket to the bottom of the frame rail/coil bucket.

Alot cheaper than the 150 bucks most places like AutoFab and the rest will charge you to pull a set off a salvage and ship...

I let me last one go for $25. Just out of them right now or I'd charge you the same. Shipping will probably be reasonable if you're not in a major hurry & let it take the boat!

Ì'm guessing $20 - 25 airmail. If you want it, I pull it this weekend and take it to the Post Office monday for a firm price.Andy Jones wrote:What do you think Postage would be to 92587 Canyon Lake, CaAusBroncodoc wrote:Andy, if you cant find one, I have one. If you pay the postage, it free to you.

This is BajaDale's fix for cracking. I will do the same thing on my F100.Bondobob wrote:Ok not I-beam but are the factory ttb beam connection points GTG with my extended radius arms and cut and turn beams or should I plate or gusset them to add some more strength and rigidity while I have everything apart???

would you have to put a weld washer on it for reinsurance!?.hobbyturnedobsession wrote:Dont need to, its completely different.

Re: I-beam Pivot Brakets
The bolt goes through the cross member on that side which is thinker than the brackets. A weld washer on the bracket wouldn't hurt but I doubt it's needed.
