Hello Fellow GFB

Looking for some help, last minute baja trip stuff. Looking to buy a spare wheel/rim and was trying to get the same rim as what I have currently. I cant ID my wheels.

Just to make sure,

We have 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern ?
Any idea on a ball park back spacing ? I am using General 35" tires.

Thanks Guys !

Look like Mickey Thompson wheels - 15x8.

Might also be eagle 589's or american racing "bajas"

Kind of hard from those pics, but my guess would be either American Racing Baja's or American Eagle 589's both which are obviously painted/powdercoated black...look to be 15x8s...but again from that angle hard to tell depth

They look to me like Baja American racing wheels, there's about 4 or 5 companies that make a very similar wheel, mickey thompson had some, American racing, and some imports. If memory serves 4.5 back spacing is 0 offset but you'll have to measure it and yes 5 on 5.5 lug pattern. Hope it helps. Any wheel shop can better match it, I'm assuming the holes are round and not d shaped ( hard to tell in pic) 5 on 4.5= ranger/ jeep, 5 on 5.5= bronco/ f150 till body style change, 5on135 ( metric) 97-03 on slant nose era, 6 on 135 newer f150 04 to present. U can measure from one bolt hole across to another to confirm, there's bolt circle calculators on the web.

Pull one and look in back of wheel. ET is offset and all info should be there.

15x7 will work but I seem to remember the generals being pretty wide i the tread pattern so 15x8 might be a better choice.

Most tire shops at least in so cal wont mount a 35" on a 7" wide wheel.

funny - I've yet to come across one of those & I've lived here my whole life.

I've been told they didn't like or recommend it before but never had anyone refuse. Never had to sign anything or whatever to get them to do it either. ALL of my 35's have been on 7" wide wheels...

Damn absense of the edit...

my 35's include BFG AT's, projects (both kevlar wall & non) & then BFG Bajas in both the 315/75r16 and 35x12.5r15 size.

I had a hell of a time getting mine done on an old set. My friend even got denied on a set of 33" tires on his chevy. He ended up goin to a ma n pa shop.

huh. Something to watch out for I guess.

Come to think of it - a buddy of mine has had his dad (owns a ma & pa shop) mount a bunch of my tires over the years. I know I've had some done at the "big boys" though. Discount Tire is local & I use them a lot.

What I've found lately is the bigger shops, including Costco will not mount/dismount anything if you aren't buying new tires from them... Been denied at 2 different Costco's, WalMart, PepBoys and Discount in the last year...

Yes 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern

you can take one wheel off and most of the numbers you need to ID it will be on the back of the wheel cast into it.
