Another tranny question

Alright, Im going with the Amsoil Philo recommended. I recently installed a new trans filter and lines and am about to pull the pan to install Punisher VB, and my art carr shift linkage. I would like to flush as much of the old fluid out as possible to start as fresh as possible with all the new components. How does one "flush" an E4OD? Thanks again!

Cnanging the valvebody, you will pretty much cover the "flush" part. You can always drain the pan, refit, refill and drive the truck for 10 miles, then come back and repeat, only fit you linkage and valvebody, refill and testdrive.

Drain the torque converter and when you drop the pan most will come out. It is possible also with a fluid exchanger You can also drain transfer case if you want and use same fluid

The center of the bellhousing has a rubber plug, remove that and then rotate the crank shaft until you see a plug. Remove that to allow the converter to drain. Draining the converter and pan will get 95% of the old fluid out. The new oil can be mixed with other ATFs without issue.
