Custom 92-96 Hoods

Just wanted to see if there were any 92-96 after market hoods out there that looked decent. As a fiberglass guy, they sky is the limit for me, but I'd like to get some input from everyone as to what you have seen or would possibly like to see. These trucks just look so good with all the factory lines, it's tough for me to bring myself to change anything.
Here's one we did with a cowl.
This is Mcneils hood, it's nice, but I'm not a fan of the louvers.
I've been thinking about incorporating the drop portions of this hood into a Bronco hood
What else?

If you are asking for suggestions I'd think the louvers as long as functional would be beneficial to venting underhood heat...
from a style perspective, is it possible to make a drop center type hood for the 92-96 with reverse facing louvers for ventilation?

For "traditional" (autofab style) "drop center" hood on the 92-96 - the stock hood already slopes down at the front and is pretty low profile. Seems like it would be tough to get much more out of it.

Usually this is my thinking. The 92-96 just look so good as they come, or better yet with just flared fenders that they are hard to mess with!
That being said - I'd love to see what you come up with.
Adding the dropped portion of that last one could be interesting. I personally also kind of like the scoop thing on the McNeil hood but am not much of a fan of louvers so I like & dislike that hood at the same time
Also I've never been a lover of cowl induction hoods but that top pic is I think the cleanest one I've seen. It's a little less prominent (maybe the paint helps this?) and therefore I like it better than others I've seen.

Heres a couple pics of the inside of our oem style hood. There is definitely some room for some " dropped" features.

"Features" maybe - like the ones in your last pic in the 1st post. I was talking autofab style drop though as that's what I think robert was after. Doing a drop across the whole center section of the hood & lowering the line where the hood meets the grill for visibility would be tough - especially while keeping the inner web/structure in the hood. I just don't think you'd gain much at all.
Doing some "drop features" for looks like that 1 piece above would probably fit though.

Haha, I shot the second picture of with the McNeil hood. I actually like that hood a lot but the louvers aren't really for me.. I don't dislike them, I just wouldn't really want to have them if they weren't functional and for them to be functional, I'd need to add dual turbos and SVO intercoolers right under them
I'd love to see the McNeil hood with the scoop have a ram air setup that would lead to either the factory air box or a custom air box to force air in at speed.

This truck has the same cowl as the first painted truck that I posted, but it's been turned around. This would definitely get some air under the hood.

yeah that cowl would definitely pick up some air like that, but not a fan of the look. I did like the look of the 1st hood with it in the normal direction.

If you want to make a new hood, make a 92-96 hood that takes the Raptor inserts.

Now THAT is just genius Philo! That would look cool for sure on the 92-96 Hood.. I wonder what it'd look like on the McNeil Hood if it replaced the louvers with the Raptor inserts.

That would not be a problem at all, but I'd probably hear 50 complaints about how Raptor conversions suck, and how you could build something better for less $.

I have been waiting for something like the raptor hood too but for 92-96 body style.

My only complaints are when I get the wrong roof or bedsides, or it takes 3 times as long as I was originally told. How are you getting so many complaints about Raptor conversions? I've never seen a Raptor converted to anything else. Can you make one look like a 92-96?

I am here to blame and point the finger at!!!! Bring it
Raptor to 92-96 is going to have to stay on hold until the Chevy to Raptor is done.

I would like to see something with that drop section like your second pic. I dont mind the louvers in the first pic but dont like the hood scoop thing in the center. Other than the raptor inserts, something that doesnt draw attention unless you are looking directly at it if my preference.
