Yesterday a split formed about 2in long in this tubing.. It spewed Coolant as you can see in the picture

Looks like the hose coming from the thermostat housing.

I mentioned this in the other thread but that could be a leak from one of the coolant hoses that go to the throttle body. If so, that's an easy fix. The reason that hose is there is so the coolant can flow through the throttle body to help warm up the throttle body in cold climates. I know you can bypass that on TPI camaro/firebird engines from the late 80's.. I would think its worth keeping on the Bronco though.

That hose is a bypass that runs from the thermostat housing to the water pump.

I had to bypass my bypass tube. No ill effects yet.

Pull it off, take it to a parts store and buy a replacement. Bulk hose should be fine. Piece of cake.

I thought he was talking about where his index finger is pointed. If it's the thick one below (not the radiator hose) that's the water pump bypass and its pretty easy to fix like Steve mentioned.

The hose is slightly larger than my thumb.

That's the coolant supply hose to the throttle body. It runs from the intake manifold to the bottom of the throttle body. That's a super easy fix.

Just buy the right one. With a 90 degree bend its better to have bent vs a possible kink.

I believe you are correct! Below is the Water Pump Bypass Hose...








But I think he is actually pointing to the hose above it, between the ECT Tee and the Lower Throttle Body Cooling (actually Heating) Tube...








If it split at the end, simply cut it off an reattach it to the ECT Tee.

Replaced the hose.. It was not the water pump bypass it's the coolant supply to the throttle body
She's running again.. Used a whole jug of coolant
And almost half of the other.
