Swapping over to TTB, looking for a few dimensions...

Post by Papa Ken »

Sorry for the noob question...and didn't really want this to be my first post, BUT, I am swapping a D44 HD TTB setup into my Jeep TJ and am looking for some help. I'm looking for the dimension from pivot point to pivot points for both side to side and front to back. I didn't get a chance to take measurements before I got it from the donor vehicle, so I'm looking for a starting point. :)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Ken

The radius arm pivots are open... pretty much where ever you need them to be.

As far as the beams, the short side (passenger) is 3" from center, and the long beam (driver) is 10" from center.

You will need to move things around a little for your application.

I know the regular 44 ttb beams are different lengths, but I thought the "HD" d44 and d50 ttb beams were more equal length than that?

As soon as I finish stripping down the TJ, I will start up a build thread. I am building it geared towards the Ultra4 Stock Mod class rules.

How about pics???

D44 (5 lug type - non HD) is on top in each pic & d50 (would be same as the 44HD) is on bottom.

It's definetely a "HD" 44. It came out of a leaf sprung F250 and is an 8 lug. Just need to get a starting point when I mock them up under the frame as to where to put them.

I gave you 5 lug 44 dimensions because you said radius arms. I will get you 44HD and 50 dimensions.

My bad, I was referring to the beam pivot/mounting points. Still learning the terminology! :) Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Just curious if anyone had the dimensions I am looking for on the D50? I just picked up my D50 and want to start laying it out in the frame and making brackets for the beam mounting points.

Thanks in advance!

Curt LeDuc built and raced a TTB Jeep a number of years ago. I last saw it at glen helen about 12 years ago. I did not have a camera. Who knows, maybe he still has it.
