Is it ok too remove the cup and sway bar mount under the spring and bolt the spring straight too the ttbs?

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to drop the ride height of the truck a bit more?

If so keep in mind those sway bar mounts/cups are different heights from one side to another so you will drop the ride height a difference amount on each side.

Iam trying too get the "BROW" out of it. The nose is up higher than the back.would like it too sit level .

Hey Grease,

You might not be the only retard in this thread !

Just crawled under my 96, and had a question for you guys.

As it sits now, my passenger beam spring cup is taller than the cup in the driver's side beam.

According to this thread, this would lead me to believe they are in backwards.

However, both of the spring cup/sway bar mounts are stamped, L and R.

L should means driver's side, and R passenger side right?
I have L on driver's side, yet it is shorter than R (pass).

Does Ford have a diff view of L and R? Do I need to switch them??

L is Driver & R is pass. I can't remember off the top of my head which one is the taller one, but yours should be on the correct sides based on what you typed in.

i run ranger lower mounts on my bronco with no problem and they basicly sit flat on the beam my truck its level side to side.
here is a pic of the differnce

the lower coil diamiter on broncos and rangers are the same size so it works great.

here is how it sits on the beam.

Thats what i ended up with.the cup and mount were separate so i pulled the mount for sway bar

i am going to bump this instead of starting a new thread. i have a 4" lift and was thinking about getting the 5.5" deaver front springs. and if i take out that stock base it should bring it down to where i need it. i looks like without using the ranger cup it would let you tighten down the nut and washer a little future so the spring won't bounce around any too.

i dont have any in mine...havent since i built the front end a few years ago..i have 4" procomp springs

cool, so no problems then? those stock mounts look about 1", so that would only make the deavers 1/2" taller than it is currently, which isn't even enough to worry about. and i already have a good bit of negative camber, so the alignment should even be fine, haha.

Everything's good. I ended up cutting the coil bucket and extending it 13/4 up along with removing this plate got me down low. Herders a pick
