Hey guys, I’ve searched and I’m coming up empty handed. I lost my water pump which proved fatal for my radiator when the fan assembly tried to go through it. My 96 was a Sheriff’s rig in AZ. and has the HD cooling system from the factory.
I’m still collecting parts and so far I’ve replaced the radiator with an all aluminum 3 row Champion Pro Series, PN CC1451.
I also ordered a new HD Fan Clutch PN, 22146 MCK1011 from USMW on Rock Auto. When I compared the two fan clutch’s against each other the new one is at least 1” smaller in diameter at 6”, while the current clutch is at 7”. I don’t know if the one that I’m replacing is OEM or not.
Has anyone ran into this? Would you guys run the smaller one since it’s listed as the HD option or pass? In full disclosure my clutch fan was working fine prior to the implosion, I was just replacing it with new parts since it was apart.
Thanks

I think i had the same issue as you. What i noticed is that the "clutch" core of the assembly, and the cooling fins are about the same size, but my original just had more material around it for some reason.
I installed it and have had nothing but excellent results. I can distinctly hear the fan all the way through 1st gear, and part of 2nd. Made a noticeable difference in my AC quality at idle.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to ask you in your build thread because I seem to be going through everything you just did but didn’t want to keep mucking up your build.

Look at a snow plow model used on f150/250/350 If still available if they are much more robust

I tried so hard to find a NOS one, and of course one popped up on eBay the day I finished installing the one I ordered from Napa... lolRyanDS650X wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 12:21 pmThis is what u run behind my 3 row radiator. Found it on Ebay and was NOS. This is the HD model.
