Chris
With jelly sidewalls.

I killed one 45 minutes after having it mounted. Not good for the desert.... but great for going to Starbucks in Laguna Beach!

Dont worry Chris, it is cause Philo runs 20s... so he has to go with the Toyos! haha

I am with Chris, BFG A/T best all around tire for the desert on a non race vehicle.

Jelly sidewalls? What are you plowing into rocks as fast as possible on purpose? Try avoiding them, it's a lot easier on things not just your tires.

I do believe that heavy as shit indestructible tires have their place, but not on a prerunner, maybe certain race trucks, rock crawlers, etc.

Right on! Might I suggest to you some solid tires, like from a fork lift?

Win!

I ran bfg mt's for years, and i liked them. I now have bald assed bfg all terrains, and i'm amazed at how well they do. Survived baja, and not one stuck in pismo.

I've had a 3/8 diameter twig puncture the sidewalls on BFG's twice in one year. No more of that for me. Toyo's are tough, quiet compared to other MT's, handle great and I don't have to puss out when the rocks get jagged. Too bad they stopped making the 35/13.5's.

Toyos are the way to go in my opinion. As much as I like the BFG All Terrains, Toyo's are incredibly tough and ride really nice on the highway. Its simply confidence that you wont encounter a flat when blasting through the desert. My last trip out one of the guys in our group cut a hole in the sidewall of his BFG All Terrain when we were flogging our trucks through the Mojave Road near some lava flows. We couldn't really see the rocks but we sure could feel them.

I know some people don't like the General Grabber non DOT version but from what I've seen they are decent tire. I've driven it in sand and it does just fine there. We drove a Bronco from Barstow to Primm through 200 miles of desert and those grabbers were awesome!

we ran BFGs at on our fleet trucks at work and had nothing but problems on stock ford and Chevy 3/4 tone trucks. we were only getting 25-35k miles out of a set .our distributor told us that BFG had changed ther rubber compound and side walls. we ran Kumo Ats and got the same mileage and we are now running Falcon ates. were past the 35 mark on almost all the trucks. being fleet trucks they get the crap beat out of them from city driving in riverside too desert in Blythe . i am going Falcons as soon as i get taxes back. just my 2$
I have been me for 32 years and know i cant spell for Sh!$ so get over it . Thanks Josh
