Firewall grommets...

Post by Drilim »

This is a pretty general question, But what has everyone done for switch wiring, gauge tubes, and anything else that passes from the engine compartment through to the cabin? Lets see em!

I'm picky about wire runs and having them look at least half way decent. I hate the look of just a hole punched in the firewall and wires run through loosely.

I took off the clutch cover and used it as a template to make an 1/8" aluminum plate with a 1" hole. I'm going to change it up a bit and pull everything back out and add a 1" strain relief.

This company makes nice connectors for low-voltage stuff:

I have a few of their flanged connectors. It's handy to be able to unplug stuff from the firewall when you're working on something.
