Ignition switch issue
In an attempt to take every last bit of slop out of the steering, I took the column out of my Bronco to fix the bearings and u-joint in the tilt part of the shaft. I got it all back together, but I'm having an issue with the ignition switch. Where the ignition actuator rod goes into the switch, for some reason the rod will come out of the groove when you turn the key to the start position. It did this with the original switch that came on the column, so I bought another BWD part and it does the same thing. Is there any piece that goes on the end of the actuator rod? I'm not sure what's causing this. Look by the blue arrow. Thanks.

Yes. An actuator rod.

Re: Ignition switch issue
I have an actuator rod. I was wondering if I'm missing a small bushing or something that goes on the end. I'm going to try twisting the actuator rod so that the end is pointing more towards the other side of the hole in the switch.

Re: Ignition switch issue
In instances like this and the availability of these trucks I just go to a salvage yard and look at a column there as a reference.
