something is out of wack... front end help
Re: something is out of wack... front end help
Would i be able to correct this the same way you do a cut in turn (As in Can i Do a cut and turn and correct the bend at the same time and reinforce everything)

Re: something is out of wack... front end help
I would put it in a press and straighten it, then cut and turn once the axel clears correctly. I'm not really feeling the turn way back there if that's what your suggesting.
Re: something is out of wack... front end help
I was not sure what I was suggesting just brain storming the main point was if there were ways to repair it the beams would get pulled if so I would do the cut and turn while it was out.
If using a press would I just try to get the clearance back by bacicaly beding it back? How would I make sure everything is correct in the geometry of the entire thing?

It may be worth just biting the bullit now and getting a good pair of C&T beams. By the time you fix the stock ones and go through all the work to pull them. Just swap them for what you want.
Re: something is out of wack... front end help
I don't have the money it's not a matter of biting the bullet with a good acre its still around 1500 forthe beams I have found. I do not have a food core and i can't pull mine and have it shipped off for so.done to do the work I need the truck. I wish i could just drop the cash and have a good cut and extended set up shipped to me
I may end up just going to a junk yard and pulling a new one to use. Have a lot of things on the list of to do's this one just went to the top when descovered .

Junk yard beam for now so you can drive while stock piling up parts. But Cs drums is right, we've seen more than one attempt that didn't turn out as planned, and they had to start over. So that being said you'll need to be able to take your time to measure everything up if your going to do it yourself. It takes most guys 3 days to a week part time to figure it all out.

There are plenty of sets on Craigslist, no need to get them from a top dollar shop. Just check the San deigo and LA craigslist every day. See is they will ship or ask one of us local to the area to grab them and ship them to you.
Re: something is out of wack... front end help
Pretty sure shipping to Texas would be pretty high non oncl here though going to pull one at a hard. And never said anything about a shop I do all my own work.
Re: something is out of wack... front end help
Just a update the passenger beam bracket was bent. Replaced them along with all the bushings and driving way better last thing I need to do is wheel bearings then shocks.
I can't afford c&t as much as I want to. So going to build this up the best I can with brackets and going to be keeping it at 6" this truck sees alot of mud and water and I could use the extra clearance.
Anyways thanks for all the help!
