Re: Half-Cab Prerunner Project
Been at it since July 10....Working on other peoples Eb's has kept the process slow. There's lots of things that murder time that I have done you really don't see. Replacing floor boards, modifying the rocker panels, filling holes in the frame/body, or aligning the body panels. My goal is start on b...

Auto Hub Removal
Hello All,
I was wondering if there is a super great technique or sexy tool to help get the snap ring out of the hub to remove the auto locking hub. Just a almost nightmare to get that snap right out and I am hoping for for a tip or two!
Thanks,
Matt

Because the mounts are on so completely different planes they don't rock at all. I know they look like they might they don't.

Re: Paint or powder coat?
I would say that a gallons worth of black single stage acrylic enamel- make them mix it btw. The stuff that is like industrial black paint for shelving and tractors is just simlply shitty and doesn't lay down nice. Lets face it if you are going to do a good job it needs too look like it-- at least t...

Re: Paint or powder coat?
I would highly recommend going to the auto paint store and buying a gallon of what ever shade you want. In the end its cheaper than spray can and it won't get f-ed up the first time hot oil or gas hits it like a rattle can does. Its just a nicer finish --whats wrong with wanting to have a nicely det...

Re: TTB info & year differences
I have to politely disagree-- my excursion is way touchy on the ABS and it becomes a bit unnerving sometimes. I am thinking that if you can either get a resistance measurement or a factory spec value for the ABS sensor. You could go to radio shack-- buy a resistor for that spec-- add some good adhes...

Re: Sag pump conversions
I was thinking for those that are so inclined -- that on some common Ford vans -- that the serpentine A/C-power steering pump bracket used a common Saginaw "canned-ham" pump. I was just thinking for the ease of sourcing parts and replacement when the other dies.

Re: FORD FRAME PAINTING QUESTION
I haven't done a FSB frame but I have used a wire wheel to clean frames/under carriages/stuff-- just a tip from my last summer-- I am in AZ so its hot as hell but I did it this way anyway-- where a thin long sleeved shirt and your worst jeans and a pair of welding gloves. The sleeves are because you...

Early Brakes/knuckles/Spindles on a 95-96 ABS Bronco
Hello All, On a 95-96 with the ABS-- what are some issues with using the early 80's FSB/F150 knuckles, hubs, spindles, & brakes. The earlier setup allows the use of the T-bird caliper which is supposed to be night and day better braking-- the replacement parts are cheaper if I am not mistaken as wel...

Manual T-case vs. Push button
I have a push button t-case and have found a manual t-case here in a wrecking yard in Phoenix. On half price day these things are cheap! Besides basically taking up the carpet, putting in the new floor board piece and the R&R of the case what else really needs to be done to work on a 95??
