Damn, that is a bad ass Bronco for sure. I’m not gonna lie though, your last Bronco is possibly one of my favorite Broncos ever! Lets see some pics of that Big Block!
I assume the wide 3G’s fit without any problem? I’m a big guy myself and i’ll be looking for some seat options.

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
I would bolt the brackets on but also add a couple .5" to 1" stitch welds that is easily accessible with a cut off wheel. I say this because these beam pivots take a lot of torque especially with the added leverage of a drop down bracket. Unless the holes are overlayed and reamed for perfect fit wi...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
Are you caging your bronco? I only ask because there is a chance of the frame cracking from being boxed without a cage. The reason is these frames are meant to twist like crazy. I’ve seen frames crack from being boxed. A cage would stiffen it up considerably and you wouldn’t have to worry about a c...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
That's kinda what I was leaning towards. I think I will replace the hardware and just swap back to stock length when I go extended C&T. I am currently welding up the front crossmember and boxing the frame so that's why I asked. It would be easier to weld the drop brackets now with no engine/transmis...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
Question for anybody out there in the know, How bad is it if I leave the Rancho drop down brackets if I weld them to the front crossmember? I plan to widen the front end 3-4" per side in the future and i'd hate to go backwards if I had to cut the drop down brackets off to install stock brackets for ...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
Damn, boy.. You’re a BADASS!!! Building a wicked Garage like that on your own AND putting together new LS powered GFB project takes huge cajoles. I love it, totally inspiring. Keep it going brother! LOL, well thank you. It's just been a lot of years in the making and trying to be as frugal as possi...

Re: LS3 Swap Questions
I picked up a complete GMPP wiring harness with fuse panel, ECU, electronic pedal, MAF sensor with weld in bung, 02 sensors with bungs for around $1000. The wiring harness is badass and will run your electric fans and fuel pump like OEM. I also picked up a front accessory drive from GMPP with all th...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
Well....... FINALLY back on the Bronco. It's been a long time coming with moving, building a garage, saving for a lift and installing it, etc. BUT I was able to get working on it this weekend. I removed a TON of weight mostly getting it ready to box the frame rails. So far I removed all 6 shocks, fr...

Re: Black954's 81 Silver Lake sand dunes build
Not much progress on the Bronco. I did get some matching 4.56 gears for the 9" and I got a sweet deal on a PowerMaster XS starter. I've also been working on the garage quite a bit. I just finished up installing siding on 2 sides. I should have the rest done in a week or two and then it's back on the...

What brand is the gear set? are you willing to ship to Chicago? I'd be interested in the gears and yoke.

How much for the 4.56 third member? I would need it shipped to Chicago FYI
