Re: Beard
Bought a pair of Beard seats for the race truck in 2000. Most comfortable seats you could ever want. At the time they were a contingency sponsor with SCORE. Fast forward 11 years and 20,000 race miles and the covers are getting pretty tired. Wanted to get them refurbished, frames were fine. Tried c...

Re: The Gun Thread
So you guys are cool with the government telling you if you can or cannot have kids so long as you can own all the firearms you want  Yup as a matter of fact I am. Guns by them selves could sit around loaded and locked and never hurt anything. 8-) A population with a high concentration o...

Re: The Gun Thread
An interesting thought.... I know we have a few people here that are either OK with or on the fence about magazine limits and such. I'd like to hear their thoughts on the following. How many "Assault Rifles" and high (read: standard) capacity magazines do you guys suppose were on the streets of Mas...

I'd be there to help but it is a bit of a walk, so I'll hoist a drink in your general direction.

Re: "Oldbaja"
Worth depends on the rust of course & then the buyer. 78's have to be smogged in most areas down here & command a little less $$ due to that. I've gotten 6 or 7 of the 7 or 8 of these trucks I've owned for under $1k. Most were in the $350-500 range. ...looks like little rust, clean straight may be ...

short hijack
Ran across a 78 Step 4x4 local walked around it, all there, fairly straight, no info on the engine as the hood was locked with the factory hood lock. What is it worth down there with as a (?)351M and the C6 otherwise stock?

Re: Tablet GPS
Btw, with most if not all nav apps you will have to download map sections of the route before hand, the gps will give your position on the downloaded map sections because the mobile internet access isn't fast enough or even available most of the time to keep up. Don't try to use it as a stand alone...

Re: Tablet GPS
Samsung 7 ended up being the choice just bang for the buck. Loaded the ViewRanger application. Haven't had time to test it yet. I'll download the other GPS applications and compare as time allows. I can say that having spent a few hours sifting through the device itself I have no idea what I'll use ...

Re: Tablet GPS
For me the trick is going to be picking the tablet!
The Mag mentions the Google Nexus 7 but that leaves me with ???
How else could I use it and what features would I then want?
I've had no need for any of the non-PC screens and just haven't paid any attention.

In the May 13 Off-Road is a one page blip about using a GPS enabled Tablet as a GPS device.

Re: Stroker motor talk!..
It might be s good idea to speak with your machine shop, If they build performance engines they can help you pick a combo for your budget... Joe Agreed! All I can do is just give ambiguous suggestions on what heads to use but the reality is your engine builder would be the one to ask. GT40 heads ar...

For just out of the box, bolt and go, it is really hard to beat the prices that can be had on just a set of Edelbrocks.

Re: The Gun Thread
Ive emailed the Cal Gun Foundation lawyers and they said the question has been asked a lot. BATFE has no verbiage in the law regarding any possession limit of unregistered lower receivers, as well as any other legally owned firearm. As long as its legal to own and you're not a felon...you can own a...
