'78 F150 Coil Buckets and Deaver 4" lift coil springs
I am finally installing the coilovers that have been sitting in my shop collecting dust. I am pulling my current setup which is a pair of '78 F150 coil buckets and Deaver 4" lift coil springs. I also have a pair of F250 shock mounts and a pair of Bilstein reservoir shocks. I will get pictures once I...

Re: Fox 2.0 performance shocks
My bronco doesn’t have a lift and I was hoping to find something for the stock shock upper mounts. I guess it just comes down to getting the correct compressed length. Getting the shock to fit is a matter of compressed and extended length for sure. You will also have to deal with the question of va...

Re: Fox 2.0 performance shocks
I am running a pair of Bilstein 7100 reservoir shocks. Same concept. My truck has a 4" lift, Deaver J40s, extended shackles and raised shock mounts. The 7100s really tame the ride down. The neighbors hate it, but my Bronco takes speed bumps at 45 mph like they are not even there.

Max TTB extension with stock fenders
I am in the process of doing a C&T on a set of TTB axle beams for my '96 Bronco. I would like to extend them at the same time to widen the stance and eliviate tire rubbing on the radius arms. I am currently running Camburg radius arms and Solo beams. Is there a consensus of how much you can extend t...

Re: Odd Trans Shifting
Did you get a motorcraft or generic parts store TPS? I would start by checking the voltage on the TPS. At closed throttle it should read about 1 volt and at full throttle it should read 5 volts. It the voltage is not right, the eec won't know where the throttle really is. Is your speedo reading corr...

Re: Ford EEC-V ... re-purpose 4 low settings ?
I don't know about the capability of the SCT software but I know you can program this via Binary Editor. I run a blown 5.8 in a '96 FSB which I tune via Binary Editor. That said, the pcm uses two different schemes for the two different shift points. The regular E4OD shift points are determined by a ...

Re: Need advice on what harmonic balancer to buy
On a '96, the crankshaft sensor is only used for misfire detection. The motor will run normally without it, although it will throw a CEL. If you are running a custom tune, you can disable the misfire detection and it will no longer throw the code. If you must keep your misfire monitoring, you either...

I swapped in an 8.8 from an '01 F150. It's not a bolt on but it is not too tough either. Here is the to do list on mods: Re-drill axles to 5x5.5 or get custom axles from Moser. Re-drill rotors to 5x5.5 Cut off and weld in new shock mounts Cut off and weld in new spring perch (optional - I did this t...
