Re: Trailers

Very impressive. Damn thing has nearly everything in a compact package. On a side note, Australia is on my to do list. Fly in and pick up a rental setup like in the video and roam around the country. I'd be happy if I never saw another person throughout the trip.

Re: Re: Trailers

20' is what I had measured I was going to need. Might need a foot or two now that I know the length of yours. I'm thinking of building one when the time comes. Figured it will be cheaper and I can build it the way I need. Question for u, if u had to do it over would u build your trailer again or ju...

Re: Deaver Coils bend inwards?

Very interesting. Any pictures of this? Keeping my Explorer on coils but don't like them being bowed.

Re: D35 GoFast

Here's my setup on my Explorer. Built it off of the stock coil buckets. Was going to originally do something like Camburg's buckets with a single 2.5 shock but decided to keep it old school with dual Bilsteins. Running 10" shocks with Camburg/Eibach coils. Tried to get the shocks in front of the buc...

Re: Spindle Seal

Well I had no luck at NAPA. They have the same flimsy seal that I currently have. At least it gives me a little confidence after reading 300's post. Going to run them for a while then will go to O-Rings and Things to get the original style. Was a little hesitant on running these because the original...

Re: Spindle Seal

Thanks for the info guys. Going to try NAPA one more time. This time though I'm going to the store at their distribution center so definitely will be in stock.

Just 2 seals each in a package. As far as I could tell they were exactly like the old ones.
Will try NAPA today then. Thanks.

Re: Spindle Seal

I figured I could just get the seal from a supplier and will most likely be cheaper as well. Problem is the old seals are beat up. I dont think I can get any numbers from them. Have done this in the past with bearings as well. I just don't understand why Dana would change the style of seal and I don...

Re: Spindle Seal

I actually tried NAPA but they couldn't tell me if the seals they had were like the original style. They didn't have them in stock so I couldn't see them. They also pulled up the same seal kit I had bought. I may try another NAPA who has them in stock. I hear you about rock auto. That is where I bou...

Re: Spindle Seal

I believe so. I didn't take the D44 outers off myself so I don't know the exact year. I bought a complete front end off a bronco and only used from the knuckles out. Doesn't have any ABS shit so I just guessed as an 85 bronco when I ordered the parts. I have the 6 stud knuckles. The seals look like ...

Spindle Seal

Question for you guys that have changed the spindle seal on D44s. I just want to make sure I don't run into any problems in the future if I use the seal supplied in the Dana seal kit. It just doesn't seem like it will seal correctly since the new seal is not reinforced with metal. The new seal is ju...
