Re: 9 inch questions
Must be an early truck I think. Early bronco has leaf perches closer together and shock mounts on outside of perches. Car housing would probably have perches underneath not on top.

Re: Swinger tie rod issues
We had a similar problem with some machinery at work. A tie rod that holds a shaft mounted gearbox with 200hp electric motor. The load would chatter and shake that tie rod from push to pull a lot. Figured out the problem is in the slop in the threads and the way the jam nut is loaded. In one directi...

Make sure your MLPS sensor on the trans linkage is adjusted correctly.

Re: Punisher valve body
Probably reads the manifold pressure as well. Check vacuum lines and routing is good.

Re: Econo Spring Under??
What is drawing you to want spring under set up? For an all around truck I would not want to loose all the ground clearance that spring under brings. I haven't been to ND but I cannot imagine there is endless miles of whooped out roads that will be making spring life an issue like SoCal. I would tak...

Re: please help! 96 Bronco starts then dies?????
If you try another ignition module without bolting it in make sure and get a good ground to the body of it. It will get real hot without the heat sink so don't run it a long time like that.

Re: please help! 96 Bronco starts then dies?????
My 96 just had a similar problem. Seemed like a fuel problem as it would only run at idle or low rpm no load and die randomly. Swapped in my old coil and ignition module on fenderwell and ran fine again. Traced it to the ignition coil. Did you check codes? MIne had ignition misfire codes.

Re: Bilstein questions.
Forgot to add that when I did try to run a stock shock in the radius arm position with the 5100 in front it had too much damping mainly in the rebound and would shake your teeth out in the chatter bumps or railroad crossings.

Re: Bilstein questions.
You can run the 5100 4 inch lift shock made for the radius arm up in the front position. This is what I do on one of my Broncos. This shock has 90percent more valving than the 5100 front "aux" shock. Don't run anything in the stock radius arm position. The stock shock there is the longest you can ru...

Re: DUSY ERSHIM TRAIL - AUG '15
We ran the first third of that trail with the Poly Goats in college. Great trail. Had no problems with 79 Toyota pickup with 33s and open diffs. We had a 79 Bronco along on 35s and it did well too but Greg is correct it is tight in spots. Is that first climb on granite 'chicken rock' Greg? That gets...

Re: What welder should I get?
If you buy used try it out if you can or have them demonstrate it. Check the mig gun lead out carefully to see if it has been kinked or run over. Can tie up a couple hundred or more quickly replacing a bad lead. A kinked or leaking lead will make it weld really bad and inconsistent.

Re: What welder should I get?
One vote here for the Lincoln 180C being a good machine. We bought one for a portable maintenance machine and ended up using it a lot on anything thinner than 3/16. It is smoother than our Miller 251's on the thin stuff. Actually I thought it is tough to find good deals on used machines. I shake my ...

Hey everybody, long time, been working 12s out on the highway and raking in some OT, but not much time for the internet. Just got back from 11 days in baja with BFG at La Purisima, below San Juanico, and what a blast! Like clockwork, Moss Bros rolled through but bummed to not see Wilson's bronco! G...

Re: Coueshunter Lightning build
One of my Broncos I bought had painted on pinstripes. At first I tried scraping them with a razorblade but that is really hard to control and not gouge. I had a blank HSS lathe tool bit so I tried that using one of the long edges. It worked great because you can set one side of the steel flat agains...
