Saw this truck on the Mojave run and it's in great shape. Looking really good with all the upgrades.

One more pic of the front end, and the Bronco does have a salvage title, do not know why.

Re: 2.5 SAW valving - rear

Yikes - The fronts are smooth body, the rears are threaded body....I assume the pistons are the same (?) HTO - Thanks, thats what I was looking for. SteveG - Thanks for the specs, I hear what you are saying about doing the front and rear together. I have chased the shock tuning from front to back ma...

Re: 2.5 SAW valving - rear

Pretty basic - 4" pro comp spring, custom buckets, solo radius arms, and a single SAW 2.5 that came from camburg supposedly valved for a bronco. I can tell you the front is lightyears ahead of the rear so I'm obviously starting with the rear valving.

Re: 2.5 SAW valving - rear

Thanks for the link but I was looking for the actual valve stack specs. I'm pretty well schooled in suspension tuning but it is nice to have a proven starting point. I'm not looking forward to taking the shocks off and on 10X to get it right.

Re: 2013 BajaHID Excursion Post Trip Report

What a great trip! Our journey began several weeks ago when I committed to this trip while my Bronco was still in about 1000 pieces scattered about my shop. As most of you can relate, many late night wrenching sessions were involved getting the beast back together in time with a substantial amount o...

Re: 2013 Baja HID run

I plan to depart San Diego around 1700, or earlier if I can... but heading up to Barstow to hit the Holiday Inn off of Outlet Center... dinner with the gang, if there's a gang there... I think Rob and Ryan will be there too, Greg (Broncodawg), Hotrod82 (minus the missus, bummer by the way), and who...

Re: 2013 Baja HID run

I'm sure most of you are aware of our little predicament with our congressional representative's galactic failure to pass a budget or even a stopgap continuing resolution prior to the beginning of the fiscal year. This failure to act may have a direct impact on our trip as with a government shutdow...

Re: 2013 Baja HID run

The work around the lake bed is easy.....bail out Razor road, hit 15 North to Baker (about 15 miles if I remember correctly) then down Kelbaker to the MT intersection. I've had to do this before it's no biggie. I'm booked at the Tropo so you can add me to the list.... Hey Rodney, Yeah, that's the s...

OK, so add me and Mrs. HotRod82 to the list, just booked our room at the Tropicana. Looking forward to finally meeting some of the GFB gang! FYI - to anyone headed to Barstow on the 10th I am hauling my Bronco up and staying at the Holiday Inn Express there at outlet ctr. I will be leaving my truck ...

Pro Comp 4" spring

For those of you running this spring, how much did they settle? I installed a new set on mine and they are really tall, I'm hoping they will settle down some. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: 2013 Baja HID run

Count me in if there is room. Mojave trail is one of my favorite dualsport rides so I know it pretty well. I have a detailed Garmin GPS file I will share with anyone who wants it. The file shows POI and shows the alternate northern route through Baker and also the Afton Canyon route. Barstow to Laug...

Re: Converting from SD to MAF on a 93 5.8....

I agree it can be done legally, the hard parts are simple...I.E. sensors, exhaust, ecm, etc. To me , the tough part would be the wiring for the data port, maf sensor, etc. , which the obd 1 vehicle does not have. I'm thinking the best option would be swapping the entire dash and engine harness from ...
