Re: Off the Jackstands Bronco Fun Run

If you guys are looking for another fun route Buck and I rode our bikes from Yuma to Parker. Great route about 175 miles virtually all dirt and you end up in Parker.

Re: Off the Jackstands Bronco Fun Run

As I have mentioned in another post, I have property in Ocotillo Wells about a mile outside the park centrally located between Truck Haven and Plaster city within walking distance of the Iron door. We have power, water, and a fire pit. I am happy to offer this as a base for a fun run. My Bronco goe...

Re: Goat's Sky Ranch

Two nights? I'd probably head up Friday morning and leave Sunday after breakfast and a run. I sort of see it like this: Friday: Unload and local run(s) around the mountain to Joberg or maybe a speed run on 50 to the supercross jumps and back on RedRands road to Goat's. Cocktails at the Joint or Goa...

No, didn't sell here. Yes it was a cool truck I would have loved to finish but we are trying to move next year and I needed to de-clutter the shop. We also bought a new buggy and have been tearing up the desert with that.

Re: The F-Bomb

FWIW - The blower you are using is rated for 240 cfm at 0" of static pressure, add a filter and the positive static (pressure) you are looking for in the cab is technically beyond the capabilities of any small prop type fan. I used a forward curve (squirrel cage) blower in my old F150. I got a big h...

Re: Prerunner Bronco Pic Post-& other cool stuff too...

FYI _ the plated buggies are actually pretty common and easy to get. You register it through the SB100 special construction process. Believe it or not they are smog exempt when done properly. Yes there are restrictions and rules but it's pretty simple to do. Part of the process is a CHP inspection s...

Re: What is your story from Baja?

Back in the late 90's at the 1000 in our 10 car we had the battery switch break and ground itself to the frame. The car died and as we coasted to a stop the cab filled with smoke. The battery cables melted off the car, along with a bunch of other wiring so we were dead in the water. Along comes a fa...

Re: SD craigslist find

The old Mason truck is mine....No longer hand controls, the quarter elip is gone too, the previous owner replaced the frame so it now has a clean powdercoated stock frame. Truck now sits on stock leafs and hangers. I don't really have time to build it out but if it doesn't sell I'll get to it eventu...

Re: Yuma to Parker 3/29 - 3/30 Trucks and Bikes

We usually stop at the Chevron on Lovekin, south side of freeway. As we get closer to the date, feel free to PM me your # so we can get in touch with you on the trail to keep you informed of our progress. We typically get there around noon, but obviously it depends on the size and speed of the group.

Re: Baja Norte March 7-9 recap.

Here is what I posted on the SD dualsport website...... Complacency rears it's ugly head....... Our mixed group of bikes and prerunner trucks had been planning an easy run to SF for about a month and I was looking forward to it as I had not been to SF since my last race there in 2002. I suggested si...
