Re: GT40 Heads in CA
Realisticly at this point he needs a shady smog guy to pass by the letter of the law either way. CA's smog laws are way over the top. Even if it passes a sniffer it'd fail visual.

Re: HVAC fan CFM rating?
My plan that I'll most likely never get to is to make the factory havc permantly recirculating and and a second blower in the back for filtered fresh air.

Re: KOH 2016
I'd like to put more faces to screen names and check out some broncos in person while I'm out there. Maybe we can rally a group together for a mini meet out there.

Re: Material choice for radius arm crossmember?
The most force applied to radius arms come from the front pushing backwards. I think a straight unsupported tube with pivots mounted more than a few inches away from the frame is a poor design. I get the cool factor of inboard radius arm pivots. Can't remember if I've seen it done on ttb though. Loo...

Re: Material choice for radius arm crossmember?
Carefull fabricating with galvanized metals. Welding on galvinized metal releases naaaasty stuff. Strength is dependent on design. The further inboard your mounts go the stronget the subframe will have to be. You could add diagonal tubes to support the backside of the subframe to help smaller materi...

Re: air filters and air filter housings
I meant adapter to the mass air flow sensor. That site is rad all the same. No one I know of stocks silicone hose that big around me. Or at least decent ply count for what little there is. I ordered the best looking one I could find on ebay and the longest cone filter for a 3.5 inlet I could find fr...

Re: Front U-joint discussion
That's awesome. easy to fix stuff goes first =)
As far as driveline joints I've heard of folks changing the input yoke to run a rear shaft size stuff in the front. Lengths obviously wouldn't work without a stretch but same spares is a plus. Anyone here done that?

Re: Front U-joint discussion
Great news! On my googling mission I found that spicer has discontinued their 5-297X dana 44 joint and superceded it with 5-760X which tests consistantly at 10X stronger than what came equipped from the factory.

Front U-joint discussion
Searched and found comments but no thread on the subject. The spectrum of prices go from $8 to $400 a dana 44 joint. Since I hace a c-clip front end I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks to avoid a headache in the boonies. I plan on hooking straps up to heavy things stuck in mud and ruts. Potential...
