As far as driveline joints I've heard of folks changing the input yoke to run a rear shaft size stuff in the front. Lengths obviously wouldn't work without a stretch but same spares is a plus. Anyone here done that?

What would you say the next weak link is? Hubs? Ring gear?

Great news! On my googling mission I found that spicer has discontinued their 5-297X dana 44 joint and superceded it with 5-760X which tests consistantly at 10X stronger than what came equipped from the factory.

Searched and found comments but no thread on the subject. The spectrum of prices go from $8 to $400 a dana 44 joint.
