Re: Mike's '95 grocerygetter
Thanks Scott; this has been my biggest endeavor as far as a fab project goes. When i'm not pressed for time i have good results but if there's anything we never have enough it's time and money. I want to start on the rear shock mounts but i'm preparing for a transfer and just can't seem to make time...

Re: Mike's '95 grocerygetter
What a diiference new balljoints make; took a ton of slop out of the steering and no longer have that wandering feeling. I found i also had a destroyed pass side axle u-joint and replaced that. None of it went easy but glad i took care of it. Built the engine crossmember; just gotta pick up some rea...

Re: PELLEY's 1990
Same issue with the solo RA's... if you're leaving out that shock bracket you'll need to make a spacer. Spacing it up a bit on the top will also probably eliminate it hitting the curve on the beam.
Lookin good, have fun with those rivets!!!

Re: Ben's '93
it's cool to see those fabtech buckets installed... can't beat the price on those things either. i had been on the fence for a while about picking those up until i finally decided to build my own. fyi, you may want to check the orientation of your shocks... i believe they're emulsion and should be m...

Re: erratic throttle/acceleration
Found it... after installing my coil buckets there was a wire loom near the fuse box and the shock tower rubbed through it creating a short. That explains the completely erratic behavior. contact, no contact and so on! It was one of my first thoughts when it originally happened i just didn't dig int...

Re: erratic throttle/acceleration
i'll give that a shot Damon. i took off and cleaned the IAC valve yesterday and it was a mess, tons of carbon buildup and very sticky. After cleaning it moved better but still seem to drag; i suppose since it's spring loaded it should snap back and forth pretty quick. I've got a new IAC coming tomor...

Re: erratic throttle/acceleration
Those were a lot of my first thoughts but it doesn't explain driving into town with no ill effects at all. Definitely gonna do some rootin' around under the hood today... it was late/dark last night when i got back so wasn't able to see anything right off the bat. I just wanted to throw the question...

erratic throttle/acceleration
Holy crap, i had an interesting ride home tonight. First a little background... 95 5.0/e4od, I just installed all new balljoints and alignment cams and fabbed up and installed my engine crossmember for the shock towers. I had the battery disconnected while tacking the crossmember up. Drove it about ...

Re: Where is everyone from?
Originally from Florida, currently in Kodiak, AK (aka "the big island")... my daily commute looks a lot like Bajascott's but there's only about 50 miles of paved road here.

Re: Mike's '95 grocerygetter
Thanks guys! Can we get some pictures of your tire mounts.. pretty interesting setup, I like it! Here's a little better picture from the inside to give you an idea. I'm not sure what model year they started with the seatbelt bolts on the wheel well but that's what i tied into on the sides, they coul...

Re: Mike's '95 grocerygetter
Dropped it off for an alignment (the ford dealer was actually the cheapest place on island) and found that i have two bad balljoints... they quoted me $1350 to replace them... i laughed got in the truck and went to napa to pick up four new ones and will install tomorrow!

Mike's '95 grocerygetter
I picked up my '95 XL about 2 years ago and have worked on it a little here and there as funds permit. I'm lucky to have access to a full shop so i can do most the work myself. It had 120k on the 5.0/E4OD and runs like a champ so i did the basic tune-up stuff; new plugs, FRP wires, MSD coil and dist...

Re: EFI Fuel Pump Not Working
I think my fuel pump is dead. I was unable to start my truck (95 bronco 5.0/E4OD) last night. It cranked and turned over fine but wouldn't start; i tried again just turning key to ON position and the fuel pump didn't prime. I checked all fuses, inertia switch and swapped in a known good relay and st...

Re: Mounting Seats
I just have some cheapo racetrims. They look the same as navy's and i mounted them exactly the same way.
You may just look into grabbing some bucket mounts out of another bronco or truck and adapt them.
