Saw that, but wasn't sure if it was just an illusion created by the swinger movement.. Thinking I better do the same.shockseals.com wrote:Notice how much the beam pivot moves...time to reinforce.

Re: Kritter's 96 Bronco
shocks are great. Cargo tray/set up is dialed other then needing to mount the air tank.tcm glx wrote:How bout some updates Kris.....how are the three.0s. Get the cargo stuff sorted?
Working on a tow set up for behind the front bumper this weekend and maybe sneak in a couple more cube lights in the air vents in the bumper. It baffles me Ford made a 4wd vehicle with no tow points on the front. Accordian frame or not, any truck needs tow points on the front.

That's two hitches mounted flush in the bumper...hard to see since theyre stealth and I couldn't go back and edit the post to make notes.

Re: Kritter's 96 Bronco
That's perfect, Kris. You could also make a tow-bar attachment to fit those receivers, if you ever wanted/needed to flat tow it.
I'm guessing they're for D-ring hitch adapters, Philo. I'd planned on doing something similar on my Bronco for years....

Re: Kritter's 96 Bronco
In Baja sur last year when I lost the trans, I strapped it around the frame behind the bumper and it tore the bumper mounts took a lot of massaging to get the bumper back to good looking. Had Ford put some kind of tow points, I wouldn't have had to fix the bumper.
Also for tow bar down the road if I ever buy a motorhome and flat tow it.
Also for a footing to work on it with an aluminum foot I can pull from a pit box and slide in either receiver since I lost the meat of the bumper to the lights.

Something like this? Bolt on to original holes and helps reduce flex.yikes wrote:Saw that, but wasn't sure if it was just an illusion created by the swinger movement.. Thinking I better do the same.shockseals.com wrote:Notice how much the beam pivot moves...time to reinforce.

Re: Kritter's 96 Bronco
all started about 8 months ago when I forgot to pin the hood and fucked up the a fab hood. Went down to john who offered to fix thte hood free and ended up buying hood, fenders, motor mounts, and trans mounts...stripped all the shit off then it sat since.
a couple weeks ago I sent it out to get finished...
completed cage
remounted new bypasses and bumps
plated frame
new brake lines throughout
80 series land cruiser air cleaner
tinned in wheel wells
pulled the rear fenders an inch further than I had them pulled
radius arms powder coated
all the misc shit mounted
motor and trans mounts installed
glass mounted
beam pivot reinforced
picked up 3-4" of bump travel
now I just need to prep all 4 corners, slap new leafs on, fluid change and get it painted and its ready for a couple more years of pounding.

Drool.............
How/where did you pick up the extra 3-4" of bump? Any pics of the rear flared out?

Re: Kritter's 96 Bronco
I had limited it to not rub stock steel fenders with 35s and not require any heater box mods then added an inch to that to be safe. Droop is still the same, same limit straps even.tcm glx wrote:Drool.............

I'm interested in that air cleaner... I was going to ask what it was on IG.
