lowrance network 5 inch and 10 inch on one LGC-3000
so with the new bronco... we have a 10.4 lowrance GPS with everything but an antenna. I was thinking about doing a network off my 540 Baja with LGC- 3000 antenna?
so, I don't have to buy a second antenna. I understand speed could be affected. I just want to know if anyone has run this set up or similar?
I have talk to Steve and a few other guys...... also done the Google thing
Just looking for first hand or second hand feedback....from you guys
I have the T adaptors and cables needed I think.... in my research of this set up.
I will work on pics of parts......soon
ALL this is going to come down to Dash set up and how things fit with stock dash. I would like to keep stock look.

but then he doesn't have the baller TT status!
Be patient on eBay and grab a second antenna = true TT status!

This is true.
Willie, how about some pics of the dash... do you have room to do the 5" in front of the steering wheel and the 10" in front of the codawg.... more improtantly, other than baller status, do you need it?
I'd say if you are doing a 10" in the middle, no need for two GPS's..... keep the antenna from the Baja 540, sell the screen off (plenty of demand for them on ebay). If you want the baller status.... shop ebay for a second antenna.
I would shy away from the networking... I have heard it really slows these things down.

I will get some dash Pic up...... for what I will be doing with my bronco.
It may make more sense to do a Tablet/ Lowrance combo…..we will see how the development of off-road apps come along.
I figured the one 3000 antenna would be sluggish from all I have learned online about the Lowrance stuff.
Pic soon

What about selling the LGC-3000 antenna and pick up one of the newer faster antennas to network?

I had never heardi ssues with the LGC 3000 being slow... I though it was the 2000 that lagges, and then the 3000 and 4000 were pretty solid...

Re: lowrance network 5 inch and 10 inch on one LGC-3000
I've noticed many different styles of plugs on the different generations so might want to check that out.
there is 4 wire, 5 wire with pin in center, 5 wire all in a circle, etc.
The newer ant have more channels and faster updates, not sure how much difference it makes.
I was going to do the same thing in the race bronco, one ant to power both the 5" driver gps and the 8.5" navigator gps.
But the plugs were incompatible and decided having each on their own ant is a good backup anyway in case on ant gets damaged.

Yes I have learned the same thing about the Plugs.....5 wire with pin in center RED (90% of time), 5 wire all in a circle BLUE (90% of time), has a adaptor wire so they are interchangeable
NAC-FRD2FBL Network Adapter You can go from a 5 pin male red to a 5 pin male blue
NAC-MRD2MBL Network Adapter You can go from a 5 pin female red to a 5 pin female blue
Lowrance products with NMEA 2000® connectivity purchased in 2005-2006 had blue connectors and were packed with blue connector components including a Y cable and 60-ohm terminator.
Lowrance products with NMEA 2000® connectivity purchased in 2007-2008 have red connectors.
Units and components with Blue connectors can be used with Red connector units and components with the purchase of the correct adapter.
The adapter cables described below are two feet long.
NAC-FRD2FBL - (000-0127-05)
Adapter cable that allows you to connect red connector devices to a blue connector network.
NAC-MRD2MBL - (000-0127-04)
Adapter cable that allows you to connect blue connector devices to a red connector network.
The 4 pin I have not found an Adaptor wire yet???

The 2 Generation of the HDS GPS lets you network to a Android Wifi app on a tablet. I am going to get a HDS 5m for the drivers side and have a 10" Tablet with the Lowrance app. If I can get a HDS 2gen touch then The Tablet app can remote control the GPS.
Just a thought

Yes. Once I get the HDS, I am going to get the Lowrance Wifi module. They are around $200. If you have a smartphone it can even access the GPS with the app.

Re: lowrance network 5 inch and 10 inch on one LGC-3000
any idea on the how the resizing works from 5 inch to 10 tablet..... I have seen the 5 inch to Iphone work
basically will it fit to the size of the unit if the unit is bigger then the Lowrance.
