Michael Cox's Street Queen

Post by Silverslk »

OK. So I pushed my friend Mike to start a build thread over a year ago when he started this build but it wasn't until recently he shot me some pics to start posting. I'll post some pics and let Mike chime in.

This is how I first went thru my 1990 351 bronco.
2.5" 14" shocks front
King 10" rear.
I made everything bolt on 4130 and tig welded and powdercoated.
2.75" over beams

I was gonna make steel fenders for a clean street truck but I ended up cutting it in half before I finished that project.

I'm not sure what you're talking about Steve.... hahaha

I'm not sure how long Mike rolled it this way but it wasn't very long I would guess. I'll post more pics when I get home.

That is really nice. I have a question? Does the difference in the length of intake tubes between the filter and throttle body affect the engine Performance? Could it cause uneven fuel air mixture? I was just wondering?

From what I understand , or was told was that the runners should be equal legnth. I believe you are correct.
As to what actually happens after the throttle body, I couldn't tell you.
What I can tell you is that it runs just like it did with the factory air box.

I've had some experimenting with building exhaust manifolds and turbo charger systems. Then by design challenges had to make certain parts of the system "not ideal" and the systems still do what was intended reliably.

One example is the 2013 formula d championship winning car.

I'm ok with dragging it on and seeing a little at a time. No sense in just one big poof - it's done type post.

That being said - is it time for more pics yet?

Forgive me if I screw up the order of some of these. I'm trying to look at tack wleds vs fully welded to make sure I stay in order but I am not a fabricator. So, that said, here is the start of Stage 2
