Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
Slight annoyance with Croc
The rear window will not lower itself from the inside, nor the outside key switch..
My bud took the rear panel off and lowered the window by just starting it with a battery..
Does anyone else think its the keyhole switch?

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
I think you should remove the switch on the dash and open it up and clean off the contacts on the switch. I beat the paint off my tailgate by banging on it thinking for sure it was the motor that was dying and later realized it was just the dash switch's contacts that were a little burnt. I used a little bit of sand paper on it and next thing you know, it works perfectly at both ends. There's supposed to be some wires that everyone bypasses so it works even with the tailgate open (apparently if it's opened even a bit it wont allow the window to move) but maybe that's just on newer ones because I didn't find anything on mine and it's always rolled up and down even when opened.
I still don't know why but if the dash switch isn't working then the key switch wont work as well. At least that's how it went down on my '89. My '79 oddly enough only works from the outside key switch but it's the best working tailgate window I've ever seen. That one has the dash switch tied in with the climate control.

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
It could be a bad fuse. Either that or your dash switch is acting up. I think the Dash switch powers the outside key switch so it would make sense that both aren't working.

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
Just thinking today I would update my thread with 2 pictures.
Lots of changes on the forefront with the "DEZ CROC"
My motivation is not what it used to be for this animal.
My mentor's have kept my Interest going in a positive direction, so that I will be able to enjoy it..
She has only traveling by flat bed from shop to shop.
Difficulties come from being a DD and improving the overall performance of a big PIG..
Kudos to those of you who drive daily and work on your own rides.
