Dusty Bronco
Factory slug sheared off and all the weight was on the upper radius arm ear bending it up. This could have gotten ugly. Steering got chewed up as a result too. Glad I had F350 tie rod and drag link on there. Who knows how long the stock Bronco stuff would have held.
Good news is, Bobby and the guys at Solo are gonna get it all dialed in. New plating, trussed, and uniballs. All in prep for the coilovers that are coming. Can't say enough good things about those guys.

Re: Dusty Bronco
I just had a set of beams on my bench getting them cleaned up before sending them off for cut the other day. First set that I really ever sat and inspected. I was looking at the slugs and wondered how strong they really were. Weird.

Re: Dusty Bronco
It is indeed sir. It went together pretty smoothly. I still have to cut/weld the driver side frame rail, but overall stoked on how it turned out.ChaseTruck754 wrote:That the Threat bolt on tower Chris?

Re: Dusty Bronco
Cool. Good to hear they bolted on easily. What needs to be cut/welded on the driver side for these?

Re: Dusty Bronco
Theres a small lip on the driver side behind the steering box bolts. It just needs to be whacked down a bit so the towers bolt flush. I didnt catch it, Birdco85 pointed it out to me.ChaseTruck754 wrote:Cool. Good to hear they bolted on easily. What needs to be cut/welded on the driver side for these?

Still not together, but slowly making progress. Between the demo derby and a new fox body project, I've been too busy for the poor Bronco. I should hopefully have it out of the garage this week.

Getting closer. Waiting on a few small things to get her on her feet again.

Finally made a day to spend on the Bronco. Got everything buttoned up with help from Darren (who tried to keep me from making stupid mistakes....I still made them)
All it needs is an alignment and some shock tweaking. Time to start putting parts together for rear end build....
