Hit up PPM for 300m axles I can tell you that I have sent a few guys there and 300m is a lot cheaper than your chromoly quote.

Thats a great price for a camburg housing. I might have to order me one up as soon as I figure out widths.Andy Jones wrote:Here's where I'm at with my fullfloater build.

Re: My 95
Sooo rear end money was spent on a much needed flatbed haha, I still want to get a rear end but the flatbed was way more important at this time. I want to get a ump filter, which model does everyone use for broncos? Is there anything I'll need to change? Or am I just mounting it and bolting it up to stock stuff

Re: My 95
Well I busted my rear end this weekend. Still haven't gotten to figure out exactly what's wrong.
It's got a Detroit locker in it and what's going on is the right rear tire isn't engaging when I'm in park, but jack the truck up and spin the tire forward I can make the driveshaft move.
Also if I'm in park I can spin the wheel backwards. At first I was thinking stripped axle now I'm thinking I messed up the locker

Re: My 95
After talking with bobby at solo I got a good cost friendly solution for fixing my bronco. I definitely broke an axle so I'm going to upgrade up to 35 spline Currie axles and just go with a spool and then I can sell my Detroit locker and hopefully recoup some of my money.
Just waiting for my tax return to come in and I'll get some stuff ordered

Re: My 95
Finally got time to take the bronco apart. Looks like I stripped an axle and broke the locker as well. So the plan is 35 spline axles and spool, so since the tone ring is welded to the pinion gear then when I get the spool installed the tone ring will still stay the same correct? Because I am going from 31 spline to 35 spline but that doesn't affect the pinion gear correct?

Re: My 95
not sure if this was a typo, so excuse me if I am speaking layman ... just wanna help! your tone ring is welded to your locker NOT the pinion gear. The pinion gear is the smaller gear that mates up to the ring gear. It has the splined shaft sticking out the front of the diff that the yoke goes on and the driveshaft bolts to. You will need to cut off the tone ring and weld it to the spool.Tanner287 wrote:Finally got time to take the bronco apart. Looks like I stripped an axle and broke the locker as well. Re: My 95
also I don't recommend going to a 35 spline in a stock case, you will have tiny ass carrier bearings. You should look into going to an aftermarket 3.25 case. Quick performance on ebay have awesome customer service and can build a third to your budget or at least just purchase the case for a great price.

Re: My 95
Nope not a typo just have no idea what I'm talking about apparently hahahaha. And on the 35 spline, I was going that route since that's what bobby at solo says he is running in his bronco II

Re: My 95
actually i think they make a specific spool using stock cases, but the bearing surface is thinner so you can use the same bearings. I wouldn't trust that either since you can get a 3.25" case for around $300

Well Bobby would know, but I personally wouldn't trust it to get me home. When I purchased my first 3.25" case YEARS ago from brydon @ quick performance he specifically recommended NOT to run the stock case with a 35 spline spool for off road if I could help it. Just food for thought...
