1996 Red Eddie Bauer Mild Build
I recently acquired a 1996 that a friend wanted to buy so I sold him a stocker in really good shape. While we were discussing specifics the bug hit him and we dove head first into a mild stock width build. Thanks to a few people I call buddies like Travis, Nik, and the Solo motorsports crew this bronco has evolved extremely quickly. We have 4 working days into this beast thus far and shocks will be on today with the bronco on its own weight. So check it out and let me know what you guys think. Travis has been a huge help and I look forward to doing many more projects with his help. Nik has changed direction on the extremely awesome 777 bronco so we acquired his stock width set up. Solo Motorsports supplied the rest of the missing puzzle pieces and coordinated the tear down of the 777 bronco for us. They are a great business to deal with and supplied all of these parts at a moments notice which really helped my customer to pull the trigger. Here's some pics for your enjoyment.

That's one beefy rear axle for a mild build.

Yes honestly I am a little jealous that I didn't just bite the bullet and fund it myself for a DD. But we can always do another later.keenanduran1 wrote:Beautiful start to the build.
Yes well we all know the weak link in the Broncos is the 8.8. So if you want to go somewhere worry free you invest in eliminating all weak links within your budget. We got a great deal on this through some of my connections so it was a no brainer. But originally we were just going to re gear and rebuild an 8.8 until it broke then buy a floater but at $1000 for rebuild and regear it just made more sense to invest that straight into the used floater with locker. The owner of this bronco is a off-road racer with multiple championships under his belt something tells me he will not be too easy on this bronco lol.dtbback wrote:That's one beefy rear axle for a mild build.

Ya those are spare 37s I have for mine. It is getting 35s soon as the new wheels get machined.

Method non beadlock race wheel because it is the only wheel we could get from method machined for full floater and 5/8 without a beadlock the should be done machining today and bfg ko2.tcm glx wrote:What wheel/tire you guys going with? Build looks great!! nice clean EB

Re: 1996 Red Eddie Bauer Mild Build
Here is a little update from last night. We got race series bypasses for the rear which tend to be a little longer then the prerun ones so packaging and cycling shocks was a little tricky. But we got it handled.

The Bronco was picked up driven home to north LA Saturday morning. It came out pretty nice. Dave Caspino is the owner and hopefully he will get involved on here to keep us updated.
