Well umm ya....
So the owner is getting married and needs cash. He wanted me to buy the bug off him which I've agreed to do in payments. So my question is guys should this ( link below) be the long term goal? Check out the link, pretty affordable. Once I pay off Ruben of course ( haven't forgotten about cha bro, selling some truck parts currently)

The way I see it a 2liter vw engine would cost the same as this.

First off a vw motor will cost you double what they're asking. Plus a 2.4 will smack 7400 all day without having issues. A vw motor will run you some cash to run any sort of consistent rpm. Plus iirc the 2.4 has close to 200 HP. Try getting that out of a vw motor. I have a 2210 that runs real well but I doubt its close to that. Even with dual Webber's.

7400 as in7400 rpm's? I was pleasantly surprised at the stage 2 package price. I figured it would have been 3 times that cost after adapters, stand alone computer ect. What is that iirc or whatever you posted?

If I remember correct. A friend of mine who knows quite a bit about them said that CBM runs their CPU redline at 7400. They run without issue.

We have one in the Class 10 with a Danzio tune... did 106 on a dry lake bed near Jean, NV. I wouldn't even consider a VW anymore.

Holy crap philo! Ya I think I'll do it. So if I keep this thing I'm going to do a tube chassis, and the ecotech. I think power to weight ratio sounds nuts.
