I think I'm the only dude who has ever owned a 7.3 who wasn't completely FOS about fuel economy. If I drove like an old man I could get 18-20...usually did 15-16.

Yeah^^^ maybe doing 55 down wind. I will say it is better than a gasser as long as your in the freeway keeping RPMs down. I drove cross county fully loaded towing my Ford Focus and averaged around 12. No v10 or 460 gonna do that.

Mine got around 15-16 too but it had 4.10s on stock tires with the 5 speed manual and the rpms would run over 2k doing 65mph, which killed mpg. They say that with taller gears or larger wheels you get better mpg. Idk.

My 97 would get 20 on the freeway with the cruise control set at 65. It had 33ish" tires and no lift, 3.73's and a E4OD. My 02 with 35's. 6spd and a 4" lift gets 17 under the same conditions. I think 17 would be a realistic number........ Of course My mileage calculator in the 02 says I'm getting 20.5,,,,,,,,,,,,, Even towing 20K it still said 20.5.........

My 1999 F350 Crew Cab with the 7.3L 37" tires, stock gears, +100Hp tuner, K&N intake and a 6in lift gets on average 14 to 15 mpg, most of it on the freeway doing 70 to 75 mph. With the tuner turned to stock, it gets 10 to 11 mpg. I can't see how it is getting 22mpg.¿¿¿

Excursions get up in the 20's on the freeway. They're geared tall, don't do as well in the city, I used to drive one at an old job.

I get 18+ in my truck consistently. I have 200cc injectors, the proper tunes for them, turbo and everything else. Stock 4.10 gears with 35"s

yeah I averaged 14-16 with 4.10s 80hp tune on stock most days, my 100hp sometimes, gt38r, ais intake, 4" exhaust and 33s, stock I ot a little better but not much. only reason he might do a little better is that the OBS trucks weigh like 2500 lbs less from what I recall.

I emailed him about the kit and it was infact the one I worked on haha. He then sent me this picture of his bronco with his new suspension on it. Hmm, that bronco in back looks familiar. Wonder where he is? Haha.
