Can anyone else tell me how many leafs are in a Q80 or F53? Trying to figure out which my new dealers might be.

F53 are 3" wide, q80's are 2.5" wide. Pack is 9 or 11 I can't remember.

Thanks Rob. I thought the f53 was a 2.5 spring.

This is correct... you can try out the F53s but may find them a little soft...When I took my used F53s in to Deaver to be checked over and freshened up, Jeff there first mumbled something about upgrading them to Q80, then asked what they were going under and what I thought I'd be carrying in the back...When I picked them up the next day they were magically changed into 11 leaf packs.

Also ... from talking to SW, ACVs in the rear shocks are no bueno.

On the ACVs, really? Huh, I wouldn't have thought that. I guess when I'm ready to do the rear, if they're too soft I'll take them over to Deaver and get them freshened up.

Well hey I'd rather be wrong while still planning so I can revise my plan then after spending my limited budget, getting it wrong, and having to pay to do it right.

Will, if I remember right...been a while... it had to do with our short wheel base and the dampening stiffening up so quickly there was fear of the rear end kicking up in the whoops instead of using the shock travel. True or not? I dunno...but I have no complaints with the 4 tube bypasses without them

Heard the same from Joel while he was there. If the front pops a little, no big deal. If the back pops up, you go for a rise.......

Unfortunately all the jacks were sold. I was hoping to buy the whole lot, keep 4 and sell off the remainder to you fine folks. Oh well.
