Deaver j40 with 12” shock

Setting up the rear of my truck 96 xl I’ve got deaver j40 leafs , threat extended shackles and lowered hangers , threat shock mount for 12” shocks and gen2 raptor rear shocks . I’m only getting about 1.5 inches of droop before maxing the shocks out from ride height ? Seems as though it would be more even bump travel vs droop ?

Are you sure it’s the shocks maxing out and not the springs? Can you measure the shaft length at ride height and at full droop?

Also, put the truck or xfer case in neutral and make sure the driveshaft spins freely at full droop.

Id also like to see some pics on the J40s i haven't heard many great things on those leafs. IDK know why since they are made by deaver and deavers are great. What is the difference between q80s and the j40s ( aside from 3' width j40 and 2.5 q80 ? Like how much lift do the j 40s do and how soft are they?
