351 motors ... educate me

Post by mobil1syn »

so i need to replace the motor in my bronco. 96 with MAF. in the perfect world I would find a low mileage stock replacement and be on my way.

what i do know
- i have a roller motor
- i need a roller motor to replace it
- i can throw money at a non roller motor to make it a roller

what i dont know
- what years are rollers
- is it worth the hassle of making a non roller a roller
- are there certain years that are better than others

F4TE is the casting number on the roller blocks. The number is by the starter. Spend some time here reading the stickies.
