Threat radius arms

Post by Codybrippin »

Truck details 96 xl 5.0 5 speed . I purchased some threat boxed radius arms unused off of another member and just got my cut and turned beams today. Just playing in the garage when I got home I’m finding the arm opening is 6” and the beams are measuring 5 3/4” , do I need to run an 1/8” washer/spacer on the top and bottom of the beams or is there some sort of correct shim to use ?im sure I’ll have more questions as I’m piecing this build together

Are the beams plated on the top/bottom? With some 1/8" plating it sounds like it would be the perfect width.

You can run some 3/4” fender washers (wider) to take up the space. It’s the same for most companies that make aftermarket radius arms.
