Rod - you hear of this? A buddy just sent me this link & I think this is crazy. No aftermarket wheels even? Because you know, no one can build a rim as strong as what the auto maker originally puts on there

Re: Crazy Aussies! Lifted trucks being siezed
I think I've mentioned this several times. The "regulations" over here are VERY strict regarding modifications to vehicles. Considering this is in South West Queensland, I'm not suprised. Queensland is a different "country" all on it's own, and the vehicle "regulations" are draconian, to say the least. However, in all fairness, many of the idiots up there do mads to their vehicles, get them approved, and then, go berserk making wholesale changes, thinking it's ok. The Australian Design Rules, or ADR's, are GUIDELINES. NOT rules, so they are open to interpretation. Be warned, given time, CA. will follow these idiocies and start doing the same. You have been warned.

Fuck, no edit. "Mads" should read "mods".

Figured that on the "mods".
And yes, you have mentioned the craziness of the regulations. I certainly hope we never get there, but the way the idiots in this state seem to keep voting we are more rapidly approaching that nightmare
