Re: Pic post
Donaldson heavy equipment filters and UMP plenum. These are what the UMP's were designed after. These are a little larger than the normal UMP. They are good for about 350CFM each. Doesn't sound like much? Go look up the flow numbers on a UMP, you'll be in for a suppries.......
Also note the trans cooler on top of the radiator.
It makes use of the large mechanical engine fan for cooling. Simple and effective. The engine oil goes through a heat exchanger in the radiator. This means there is nothing blocking airflow to the radiator except the AC condenser. Stacking coolers one in front of the other is never good for effiecincy........

Donaldson! Ok that makes sense!
The Ump hat I had sticker sort of gave it away.
Been looking for a filter that would flow in the 900CFM @ 2" or less DeltaP, and actually Filter air, unlike the Cool filters.
Thanks!

Re: Pic post
Those are 350CFM @ 3" if I remember correctly. 900CFM @ 2" is going to be hard to package. They have a larger model that will flow around 450CFM @ 3" with the saftey filter removed but fitting it in might be a chore. I'm not running the saftey filters on these, they cut down flow too much and aren't really needed on something that gets serviced regulalry.Dust wrote:Donaldson! Ok that makes sense!

Wouldn't a 4BT Cummins be more suited to that?

Re: Pic post
Boat anchor with terrible powerband when you get the HP up. The D-max with an Allison is a very close fit and the T-case drops on the D-side. I measured one up really well and it looks like it will fit very well.philofab wrote:BDKW1 wrote:It's the one I'm trying to get him to do a Duramax swap on. This is where I would like to see my bronco in the next few years. GKR has the best rig ever IMHO.
