Big ass coil springs.

Post by yikes »

Need some help fellas. I broke a coil on my 4" coilovers. Nobody has anything close on hand that I've found to date. Eibach doesn't have the capacity for anything with a 4.5" inside diameter. PAC Spring can make them for $600-$800 each, but they're 6 to 8 months lead time. Fabtech doesn't know their own products. King was super helpful in confirming my spring rate, but cannot provide a spring that size. Bill Varnes @ Mirage Racing almost had something, but they were 30" long. He suggested Riviera racing, which I've been unable to get in contact with. It appears Revolution Racing Shocks is out of business, with no contact info. (and no, modifying factory type coils won't work) Soooooo, does anyone have an idea who may have something? This is what I need:

[*]4.5" ID
[*]24"-26" Long
[*]250 lb/in Rate (Yes, that's right)

Thanks in advance for any help or leads you may have.

Call Robby? Pretty sure he has plenty laying around now that he's running king's.

Might try to get Ronnie's number. Even though revolution folded, he might still have leftover stock.

Kritter can probably tell you anything you need to know about the Fabtech ones. I believe the spring rates on those were 510#'s. I can check the length but I'm guessing that you would not have room to fit 2 of them and a slider.

Working on getting Ronnies #.

Not room for 2 high rate springs, but might be able to get a 5"-6" tender in there.

I think Kritter said the fabtech coils were 450 pounds. I have several of them but I don't think they'll work. There are roughly 21 inches long. They're also larger diameter than what you have.

Revolution is now making mountain bike grips but I'm sure if you were to call amar engineering (the building revolution was in) they can help you get a hold of the right person there
